I don't want to give one star to the service department, Langway Toyota of Newport, RI. They did a terrible job repairing my 2013 Tundra. I brought it in because the brake shutter when braking, and my AC was blowing warm air. The service guy was such a fast-talking scammer. After $ 4,268 in fees, the real problems started: yes, they did rotors, calipers, and pads. But after a few days, I almost crashed through the front of Cumberland Farms with no brakes and the pedal to the floor. It was dripping fluid from the right front side. They had it towed back into the service department to “Fix” that problem. A few days after picking up my truck, the loud screeching sound started, so I returned it. They said it was fixed, then a few days later, a louder scratching noise started, so I brought it back in, where they said there was nothing they did wrong, but because my truck was 12 years old, and the dust shields were rusted out. Ok, but they didn’t see that on the other inspections. The Service Fast talker scammer told me it would be another $400-$4,000 to fix that problem. I declined. When I removed the driver's side caliper, it immediately started leaking brake fluid from the damaged line. I bought a new brake line and replaced the damaged one. I also easily removed the rusted dust shield. Surprisingly, the dust shield wasn’t even attached to the passenger side and was rubbing on the rotor. To say I was angry puts it lightly. The service guys had to know it wasn’t even attached, especially after replacing the parts twice at that wheel. I will never recommend Langway Toyota and NEVER give them another dime. My Jeep’s “check engine” light came on and then I received a “hot engine” alert after driving a few miles. Local repair shop looked at it and said it needed to go to the dealer because the issue was computer-related. This morning I called Paul Bailey’s service department to schedule an appointment. The woman asked if I were an existing customer. I said no, that I just moved to RI a few months ago. She said that they would not service my Jeep because they are now only servicing existing customers due to being busy. This is no matter how far in the future I was willing to wait to have the car serviced. I was incredulous. I told her that I like Jeeps, that I will probably buy a new Jeep soon and that she just made sure that I would never, ever buy from that dealership. I guess it’s not illegal to discriminate on the basis of being new to the area and not being a pre-existing customer, but it sure is bad business. I’m going elsewhere for my next car.

Firstly, I take no pleasure in positing a poor review. I have had my share, as many of you have, of poor customer service. I have never complained nor posted a poor review. This is my first time. By way of background, my significant other and I have purchased (4) four vehicles from Bald Hill Dodge. The only sales agent we've ever dealt with was Lou Ruggieri. He was outstanding. This review is solely directed at the Service Department (or lack thereof). I recently experienced an issue with my driver side door not closing on my 2021 Jeep Willy. I had purchased the extended warranty. I will not bore anyone with the details nor will I mention any names as that would be fruitless. But suffice it to say that this review is directed at the dealership and service department management. They were completely unresponsive, unhelpful and frankly discourteous. Based on how this dealership claims to take pride in customer service, I was beyond astonished and disappointed in the service I never actually received. The back and forth conversations I had with both the dealership manager and service department manager was staggering. I brought my vehicle there on (3) three separate occasions and the vehicle was never repaired. I was informed that because the problem with the door could not be replicated in front of service department personnel, it was deemed NOT to have a problem. The management informed me that a technician would not remove the inner door panel to further inspect the cause of the problem. I went so far as to offer, out of pocket, to have it repaired and this never took place. Getting nowhere, I took it to a reputable service station. The technician removed the door panel, located the source of the problem and fixed it. This could have been done on the first instance I took it to the dealership. In closing, this dealership has permanently lost a loyal customer and the manager's only response was "sorry to hear that." The irony is I was planning on trading in my Jeep and upgrade to a Rubicon. For the minimal effort and cost to repair my door, they have lost my and my spouse's business. This is not to mention the effect of word of mouth. My only regret is that there is not a lower rating than a 1 star to express my disgust with this dealership. Joe M.

Andrew, the service manager of Balise Honda takes the meaning of service to a whole new level. He embodies service in every sense of the word both to vehicles and customers. Not only did he fix our car but he was knowledgeable, efficient and above all, he was kind. We were in one big jackpot, 11 hours from home, limping down route 1 and thankfully, Andrew answered the phone. The shop was closing soon, holiday weekend, no appointment and he had us out the door in no time, back on the road to get our son from the USCGA. Thank you ANDREW! You have helped us and we are grateful.

Recently visited Balise Toyota of Warwick for the first time. I needed a repair on my undercarriage of my Rav4. I left my car with the service department and they ordered my part. There was a little break down in communication when calling to check on the status of my repair. The gentleman who waited on me, Jeffrey Fagundes, waved the charge for my repairs and absolutely treated me with total respect. I was totally shocked at the generosity and the understanding of the situation. Thank you so much Jeff! I'll see you next month for my new tires
