Expensive! - Locally miffed
Expensive! Had a misfire on a Rogue. Local shop couldn't figure it out after replacing coils, plugs and a valve cover gasket. Sent me to the dealer. It get a $215 diagnostic which is waived if you do repair there.
First pass at car revealed a bad brake booster. Quoted $2300 to replace-1800 for the part and 500 labor. Found the part for $709 (yes, it's OEM). Replaced it myself and still had misfire. Turns out the wrong plugs were installed by the local shop. 4 new plugs only set me back $371. I could have and should have replaced them myself for under $100. Pricing gets them 1 star.
