Overall I had a pretty positive experience, working mostly with Lacey. I purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport. The one issue I had was that the RADIO was not working, which was noticed on the date of purchase, and brought to their attention immediately. They spent less than 5 minutes trying to remedy the problem before just giving up and suggesting I subscribe to Sirius radio because the AM-FM bands were not working at all. I live 100 miles from the dealership so "swinging by" to have this issue fixed is really not a great option. I was disappointed that this issue was not checked and fixed before the vehicle was sold, but also very disappointed in their unwillingness to work to try to solve the issue just 2 weeks after. Telling me basically to either PAY for the repair myself or take an ENTIRE day to make a 6 hour round trip so they can "check it out". I honestly think that this issue SHOULD have been fixed BEFORE the day I came to pick the vehicle up. They should check EVERYTHING to make ensure that things work that should. Sold me a vehicle that should never have been sold. Their way of making it right was to force us to buy a different vehicle in order for them to make a bad deal good. We held up our end of the deal, however they took their time and didn't make us a priority. I appreciate that they finally made good on a bad deal but and very dissatisfied with how this all went down. Will never use them again.

Decent price and nice store. Once they had my money, they didn't want anything to do with me. Service after sale sucks! Said they would fix things on the vehicle but it took long periods of time and they never fixed everything! I gave up. Had several problems with the vehicle right after purchase. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

we were there for the big deal going on in july and while the bank was helpful the overall experience is something that my husband,my dad and myself would not recommend to anyone to buy a car here. We were told one thing and another happened was told no down payment and had to put a lot of money down I would suggest that your people learn to talk to each other before you tell any buyer what is going to happen while we did buy the car we were lied to about it not needing any work when in the truth it needs about a lot of work. Also a week after we had the jeep they are calling us again to say they need more imformation from us. it also took myself calling to get the title so we can plate and insure the jeep. The process of signing the paperwork for the loan also took over four hours. So we will not be going back there to buy a car,truck,suv and would NOT recommend to any of our friends or family. Also upon looking at the price on Kelly blue book we find out the jeep was way over-priced.

Bought '06 BMW convertible... solid car; had headlight/electrical issue at time of sale... they did a fantastic job in tracking down the issue(s), none of which were their fault, and worked hard to correct it. They communicated well with me... and Gary & Zwee in Service Dept. went over & above in solving the problem. (i.e. wasn't as simple as "bad bulb out, new bulb in"... MUCH more complicated, yet they didn't walk away or dodge the issue. They were outstanding. Jerry Weidner was my sales person and he did an excellent job of keeping me informed of what they were trying to do to solve the problem. Would highly recommend Best Deal Import Store in Ft Wayne and will tell friends to see Jerry W. He will take care of you!

I was very disappointed in my experience with Bob Thomas Ford. The vehicle I was interested in was an import from Canada and based on prior experience Canadian vehicles, due to the weather, often have rust issues particularly on the undercarriage. I specifically asked the "online sales manager" about the condition of the undercarriage and I was assured that is was in "great shape". I was ready to move forward with the purchase but wanted to get a couple of pictures of the underside of the vehicle. When I asked, the online guy passed the sale on to another salesman who sent the pics I asked for and low and behold the undercarriage was, as I suspected, very rusty and corroded. Shady is the word that comes to mind. After pointing out the condition of the vehicle, I did not hear another word from Bob Thomas Ford.

We were looking around for a couple year old g35x and stumbled across one the local carmax had up online at autotrader or somewhere. Long story short we got the car at a competitive price. The trade in was worth about nothing and we got a little bit less than nothing, but we were expecting that. One year later and we haven't had to do anything but change the oil, tires, and cabin air. The whole process couldnt have taken much more than an hour from driving in with an old car to driving out with the new one. The last car we bought from a dealer, including the trip to and back from Chicago, was probably more in the 6-7 hour vicinity. We got the car at a competitive price: subtract the cost of wasting an entire Saturday and its a steal.

This all happened because they had a wrong number for me and that was passed on to the finance company, but I have my car back and everything is resolved. These people really do care.

Brent also offered to have the vehicle driven to WI and completing the deal here, which would have saved me about 7 hours of driving round trip. When all was said and done I just couldn't make things work within my budget, but would definitely deal with German Concepts again if things were to change for me and they had another vehicle I liked..

Do not buy from here. My friend paid $6000 for a car and motor blew up the next week. Wade told us the car had a different engine with around 40000 miles on it. We called Wade the week before and wanted to return the car. It was still running at that point. He told us too bad the car was not returnable. He did not offer to trade for a different car. My friend is now stuck with a car and payment she cannot drive. What does she do now?

First he priced a truck to us my wife pulled it up on her phone the same truck brand new was $5000 cheaper. Then he tells me he would run my credit and tell me what I can afford. Hello, all! If you're reading these reviews, I bet you're probably in the market for a new vehicle. Well, I'm not here to tell you if Gates is the place for your new purchase, but I am quite prepared to say you should never try to get a vehicle serviced at this dealership! I came to Gate and attempted to have my low-mileage, under-warranty vehicle diagnosed for a knocking sound. After a 2.5 hour wait (was told 1 hour, and watched another customer enter, get service, a loaner, and leave before me) a serviceman approached me and outright refused to diagnose the issue, stating their refusal was due to 'snow on the ground', and that I should come back when it's nicer outside. Seriously! As soon as I left their service center and hit the road at 20mph, the knocking was CLEARLY audible! After calling the service center to set a date and time *they* find appropriate, and not being given one, I requested to speak to the floor manager. The gentleman I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful, but said he could not arrange a diagnostic until the following week, which I found unacceptable. I'm sure their salesman are quite genial and the deals superb, but I would suggest staying away from their service center: they seem selective about who they want to serve and who they do not.

Worst dealership experience I've ever had. The salesman we worked with knew very little about any question we asked. I, as a female and in an office position, knew more about the particular vehicle than the young man. His response was simply "I'm not sure" and never asked other individuals to provide us with a true answer. I specifically asked if the vehicle had two keys (it was used) before we even got in for a test drive. After looking at the tag on the key, he said he'd find out. When we returned from the drive and were back in his cubicle, I followed up and surprise surprise he hadn't found out. While agreeing to a price I asked for the 3rd time about the key and he stated he would see as he handed us off to the finance guy. While dealing with finance, our salesman NEVER returned with the key info and unfortunately while dealing with the numbers and signatures I failed to ask the 4th time. Needless to say, I end up with a vehicle that only had one key and they offered NO assistance in getting one. Simply told I would need to talk to the parts department and it would be another $400-$500 I would need to spend. This particular vehicle was purchased brand new from Hobson, that owner had it serviced and Hobson and they was traded-in at Hobson. There is no reason a 2nd key, which is standard, counldn't be provided. Or at least offered something off the price of a new one. Instead I was basically shrugged off and given a vehicle that wasn't detailed when I drove off the lot. They swore up and down that it was, but my 7yr old nephew would have done a better job wiping down the interior. The same salesman that was useless for lack of better wording, also shook our hands and said he couldn't offer all weather floor mats, but would be sure we had a full tank of gas. Surprise again....we received a half tank. When we questioned this, we were told that policy is that used vehicles only get a half tank. That's fine, but your salesman said a full tank. You should honor what you say. Also, this salesman never so much as touched the door handle of the vehicle to show me anything in or on the car. Never explained features or components. None the less, I will NEVER return to Hobson and tell everyone looking to stay clear as well. My family purchased a similar vehicle just 2 weeks prior from another dealership and the treatment couldn't have been more polar opposite. Terrible knowledge. Terrible salesman. Terrible customer service. STAY AWAY!

Test drove the car and the check engine light was on and the car smelled like someone had been chain smoking in the car. Car drove fine and I figure a little tlc and it would be a decent first car for my 16yr old daughter who just got her license. Well the next day my daughter and her mother went to purchase the car. They paid for the car then proceeded to drive the car down the street to the nearest gas station. They put gas in the car and as soon as they got back on the road the car catches on fire. This was very scary for my daughter and when they called the dealer back instead of him being concerned he asks if they had insurance on the car. Now a total of 17 minutes had passed from the time they left the lot till the time the car catches on fire and you being the dealer asks if they have insurance. Really?? They were only 3 miles from the lot. Please if anyone decides to go here and purchase a car be very careful and drive straight to a mechanic to get it looked at or better yet bring a mechanic with you to the dealership and have them check it out there.
