

I'm originally from a small town in Northwest Ohio called Defiance. I graduated from Defiance High School in 1991 and received my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts from Defiance College in 1995. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, playing golf, softball, target shooting, hiking in Hocking Hills, cooking and finding unique hole-in-the-wall restaurants. I attend Stonybrook United Methodist Church in Gahanna as well as a local men's Bible study with several clients and friends. One of the things I enjoy the most is organizing our dealership's annual charity golf outing. To date, Krieger Ford and our partners have helped raise over $103,000 for local charities around Central Ohio. My greatest professional accomplishment is being able to turn clients into longtime, personal friends.

Carl was amazing to work with. He even came in on his day off to prepare the paperwork so we could come in on a Saturday to get things done quickly. We left our dealer of many years, outside of Columbus. Carl was able to find an additional rebate that our dealer did not and had the color of Explorer I truly wanted, which was a fully loaded, ST Line in black. Long-story short, our previous dealer ordered my vehicle in the color I didn’t want because he said it would take a longer to get the black, so we settled since our lease was going to be up soon. He got us to the lowest possible payment that we wanted in ST Line which really seemed like an Active, which has taken the place of an XLT (which I was turning in) for just a couple extra perks. I started thinking about my vehicle that was ordered and I just didn’t really want that color, so I started researching dealerships in Columbus. I looked at two dealerships, who both had the fully loaded ST Line in black, however, due to Carl and his due diligence in all of his help, we went with him. I didn’t even know everything you could get on that vehicle until Carl went over it with us. We were able to lease our vehicle at Krieger Ford with the same payment per month as our other dealer and get the fully loaded version of the ST Line and color, getting the most for our money. Who wouldn’t? It should always be about the customer being happy and getting what they want whether it’s a car being financed or lease. Sometimes people take advantage of customers due to the longevity of working with a customer, assuming they will be back. Lesson learned, that doesn’t mean anything. Our dealer was very shocked that we went to someone else, but it came down to the additional rebate when all said and done, and that it was missed throughout the process. Because I do care about people and although it wasn’t warranted, I did send a very nice message to our previous dealer and the response I got was disgruntling. I even offered to schedule a call to speak with him after I had let him know that we will be going through someone else and he said, “Total shocker, not tonight, thanks again”. The kicker to all this is that my other lease will be up next year and due to his response he will lose business from us on that as well. Thank you, Carl for going above and beyond for us! We will be back and will refer you to others! More
