Bottom line, I purchased a car on 9/26, but I learned the DMV department at the dealer didn't get the paperwork until 10/17, three weeks after the purchase. They got the paperwork out 10/21 and I received from them the license, registration, etc today 11/5, a reasonable 2 week turnaround. My temporary plate expired 10/25 so I was unable to drive for days. Clearly the problem started with the initial processing of my paperwork on 9/26, not with the dealer's DMV department. I escalated this situation up to the Pinebelt owner during this time but because of the initial delay, nature had to take its course. Bottom line- if a dealer can't handle the paperwork with precision, how can I be sure they know how to change the oil? One more thing- the windshield washer reservoir was not filled. I do like the car though! More

If you’re looking to buy a preowned car, please second guess coming to this dealership. The question is what is the value of someone’s word today? I seem to be questioning that lately. I’m a working c guess coming to this dealership. The question is what is the value of someone’s word today? I seem to be questioning that lately. I’m a working class man who was looking to buy a preowned car when I stumbled across Pinebrook auto sales. They had a preowned 2023 Santa Fe hybrid and good internet reviews. I called Internet sales to set up a test drive. I was told they had to verify if the car was there, in which they did. I was set up a appointment, which was texted and confirmed. I was told who I was meeting with and arrive at their Mazda location in Lakewood, New Jersey. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Carlos one of their managers. I told him I had an appointment at 2 PM to test drive the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid. Carlos told me the car was sold in the a.m. I questioned why I was not notified that the car was sold. Carlos explained to me this is a big dealership and Internet sales cannot monitor everything. The car was sold in the morning and left an hour ago. Again, I called in at 1:09 PM and set my appointment for 2 PM. I had an appointment for a car that was not there. Carlos didn’t even offer me an apology. I even told him I drove 33 miles from Oldbridge NJ. It was like he didn’t care and was angry at me for question him. He didn’t even offer me a refreshment and to sit down and give him a chance to rectify this. I know if this was me that’s what I would have done. But you can never speak for someone else so I walked out. I contacted Alena who was the head of Internet sales who offered me what I think was an apology but not a solution. Nothing!. I was just simply told that this sort of thing does not happen here. “But it did” and no solution was provided. I drove 66 miles round-trip plus gas and tolls and time for a car that was not there. I was not even invited into their showroom for a solution. look this is my experience but buyer beware. I didn’t buy a car there. Good luck, and hopefully you won’t experience this. But if it’s an isolated incident, it should’ve been handled better. I saw many wonderful reviews about this dealership so I chose to come there, so disappointed. I even called to see and there was a resolution and told them “ I will right a review” they did not care. I’m sure they must think the public is stupid and won’t care what one person writes, well not this guy. Ps. Their ad is still up as of 3:18 PM on the Internet. Seems like the old bait and switch. Never again. Very very disappointed. Carlos Alena a zero stars if I was allowed to do it. More
