But if you mention that charging mandatory fees on top of the sale price is called bait and switch, it’s no longer mandatory... Per the Carfax they gave me which shows what they put on the vehicle, an inspection, air filter, oil change, a pad slap, reverse bulb, and cabin filter costs $1200, it does not. It also says it was washed and detailed, but they missed detailing the roof, but that’s above eye level, so they must assume people don’t look there. Next there is the “standard” $3000 for the $10 GPS Tracker that they have already installed for you! Knock that off. Then comes the personal related items. The vehicle has a spare on it, they located a proper wheel for it, but.. Come to find out, it’s was a knockoff, which didn’t fit the factory lug nuts. No bother, they threw on some non-standard, used, spline lug nuts without providing the lug key. Then I had to ask for the spare back! And in that time frame, the spare, which had a tire, no longer had a tire.. The knock off wheel didn’t have a center cap which they said they we getting for me, but after two weeks, nothing.. texts to the sale guys Francisco that used to be responsive, no response. Texts that came from the front desk asking if I needed anything, were going to check on it… but silence. So, in the end, I still need to go find a proper wheel and lugs, had to get a tire for the spare, and lots of random things that are small but add up during a flip. So yeah.. stay away unless it’s a certified used, otherwise it’s a thousand little cuts to nickel and dime every part of the process. I should have walked away the first time they mentioned the mandatory charges. More
