How do I start. I came in for routine oil and tire rotation. Found out I needed a tire so I scheduled to come back the next week and asked the employee to order my t I came in for routine oil and tire rotation. Found out I needed a tire so I scheduled to come back the next week and asked the employee to order my tire he told me he would and see me the next week. I have been coming to this dealership for over 8 years. So the Monday comes 7am appointment I am always on time. I get there they ask me questions and I say I am for my tire appointment. She tells me they didn’t order my tire. I am furious. I woke up at 6 am to be here drove 30 minutes for you to tell me you didn’t order my tire. I ask for manager. He asked me why I was so upset. Are you kidding me. His solution was to get the tire some time that day and to give me a rental car to use. I had a lot of plans that day that turned into me not doing any of it. First I didn’t feel comfortable in this tiny rental car which was so low to ground and I didn’t want to ride around in this car and have to put gas in it when my car had a full tank. The person who didn’t order my tire called to apologize but it was genuine. This is not my first time having a issue with this dealership but I try not to complain but this was so rude and unprofessional. They wasted my whole day and I didn’t get my car back until 6pm. Do better. And no one from service department was there when I picked up my car. The best part of my day was the cashier Maria. She was kind and patience and made it a little better. Thanks Maria. I was a few days from traveling out of state and the vehicle had been experiencing abnormal transmission behavior. I remembered that the previous year, there was a post card announcement received from vehicle had been experiencing abnormal transmission behavior. I remembered that the previous year, there was a post card announcement received from Nissan detailing a class action settlement that extended the warranty coverage efor the vehicle’s CVT transmission. * The ONLY reason I ended up going to Kelly Nissan in the first place was that the service department at Western Avenue Nissan, which is located across the street from their showroom/sales office, was closed. After driving over to the service building, I was told by someone (an employee or another customer, perhaps?) who was parked to the side of the main service bay door, that they’d closed early that day and that I could come back the next morning. Even though the Western Ave.’s service department was closed for the day, I was still in need of service and so off I went. I then pulled into the much larger, much cleaner and more pleasant Kelly Nissan dealership in Oak Lawn, IL. * Mr. Cuevas at Kelly Nissan was kind, refreshingly helpful and informative, especially after I had just been lied to my face by a different Nissan dealership’s employee who’d reviewed VIN/vehicle info on his computer at my request and stated my stated issue was not covered due to my warranty having “expired in 2023.” *** Western Ave Nissan in Chicago, IL, is not trustworthy and their finance/service manager reaffirmed my distrust for dealership service of any of my family’s vehicles. *** Kelly Nissan salvaged my negative experience with Nissan car dealerships, perhaps even saving the Nissan brand from a customer lawsuit had I not discovered that my warranty was still valid and a mere 3 days from expiration when I’d walked in to Kelly Nissan that very same day. * Mr. Cuevas wished me a safe trip out of state and advised that if the issue persisted the in next two days, that he’d be off work that following day but I could come back in and they’d good take care of me if I was needed to bring the car back before I left town. I would ask that this survey also serve as a formal complaint against Western Ave Nissan in Chicago. More
