I bought a Kia Rio from this dealership 6 weeks ago, and it has already stopped running. The service department told me that it looks like rodent damage and it will cost $8000 to fix, but they refuse to gi it has already stopped running. They also told me that my warranty will not cover the damages and I have to use my insurance. I have been driving the car every day since I bought it, so the rodent damage must have happened while the car was sitting in the parking lot at the dealership. They refuse to acknowledge this and still expect me or my insurance to pay for the repairs. I have not been able to drive for 6 days now, and they still won’t tell me exactly what is wrong with the car or why the warranty will not cover it. Throughout this process, everyone that I have spoken to has been condescending, rude, and entirely unhelpful. I strongly recommend that you do not shop at Shawnee Mission Ford. More

I drive a Ford and have my vehicle service work done at a Ford dealer. Shawnee Mission Ford has never impressed me but they are close to where I live. I made a reservation 5 days in advance for a typical oil Ford dealer. Shawnee Mission Ford has never impressed me but they are close to where I live. I made a reservation 5 days in advance for a typical oil change and when I got there I was informed of a 2+ hour wait for oil changes. No explanation or apology was given. I took off work early for this appointment and lost that time. Because Shawnee Mission Ford is unable to manage reservations, I will drive a few extra miles to better preforming dealers like Olathe Ford, Victory Ford or Bob Allen Ford. More

Stay clear of this place! They are scammers. I recently took my Ford Focus in to have some work done on the AC and radio. I also had a bumper vent that I asked to have repaire They are scammers. I recently took my Ford Focus in to have some work done on the AC and radio. I also had a bumper vent that I asked to have repaired. They said I would need to replace my entire bumper for $1500 because the clips that hold the vent in place were gone. Guess what I just found inside the vent hole? My perfectly intact vent cover with the clips in place!! I'm glad I didn't get my entire bumper replaced. But as if that wasn't enough, after they "fixed" my radio it went out less than a month later. I paid $1900 to have the AC and radio fixed. When it went out the second time, I asked for them to refund my money, but I was told by David that I had to bring it in order for them to diagnose it. After much hemming and hawing with them, I brought it in, was told they would have it for 1 day (they had it for a week) and only got a loaner car after I explained several times over I couldn't be that long without my vehicle. So, they had my car for a week. They call me the following Monday to tell me that the part in the radio that needs repair wasn't covered under the warranty, and that it would be another $1K or more to fix. I was stunned. I asked for money back but they initially refused. On talking to David, he said because I had a working radio for a month that he wouldn't refund my money. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a dealership anywhere, ever, as on this particular occasion. And because I got some of my money refunded, only after several calls and threatening to go the owner, I was going to let it slide-- until I found my bumper vent this morning while trying to figure out how to fix it myself. Wow. I'm stunned. So I was told these guys go to school and have to make sure they diagnose everything right, etc etc, by David, who was incredibly condescending and rude-- and yet these "educated" guys missed my freaking bumper vent hanging out inside the hole. I almost have no words. I can only say STAY AWAY from this place. They are a sham. They will way overquote you, overprice you, keep your car for days on end, and then try to keep your money when they don't do the repair right the first time. More
