More information regarding this. I went to the dealership a couple of times inquiring about the recall. I didn’t want to risk driving an unsafe vehicle. I was told they could not do it yet. Being GM’s patch was changing the oil to a higher viscosity engine oil. I went to the dealer again on July 2, 2025 to inquire about the recall. Once again I was told, cannot do it. I asked the get the oil changed to the recommended oil. I was told they could not do it. So I approached the man that sold me the truck. He offered me $12K less than I paid for it. Keep in mind that it is less than three months since I bought it and has only 2,500 miles. He finally said he could offer $50k. A $10k hit. I traded the defective vehicle out of fear of driving it. So last week, General Manager Dan Schian calls me and offers me $500 to make this a Holly Chevrolet review. I declined the xx goodwill offer. It started with Holly. But Walt Massey Chevrolet now owns it. That was an insult and shows total lack of integrity. And to my surprise, the Federal Safety Recall was completed the day I traded it in. How deceptive can you get. Dishonesty is not a good business practice. NTSB and General Motors will be hearing from me and possible legal counsel.
