They mentioned that it just sold "about an hour ago" - but the ad remained active for 3 more days. The location of the dealership is somewhat confusing, as there's no space for customer parking. It's a small, old-school location (when compared to other Ford dealers in surrounding areas, but their sales people are persistent. Ultimately, I was inquiring on that used truck because of (1) the price point, and (2) I'm currently half way in my 36 month Ford lease and want to trade in that lease. This means that I'm aware that I'm upside down (whether the dealership buys out the lease outright from Ford, or if we factor my remaining 17 payments rolling into the new loan). But the salesperson was just playing games (wanting my driver's license "as it's easier to type my info" - and eventually wanting my full SSN so they can look up the buyout on my Ford lease). Yeah, there was no paperwork, and he just wanted to run my credit (without even presenting a vehicle and assessing what fits in my budget). I've purchased 50+ vehicles (look at my past reviews), and I've purchased from many Ford dealerships in surrounding areas (Villa Ford, Fairway Ford, Autonation Ford Tustin, Theodore Robins Ford, etc.), and so far this has been the most unprofessional sales buying experience. I left and the sales guy said he was going to text me with a vehicle and payments after doing research. Instead, I got passed as a sales lead to another employee, and they followed up saying they have the vehicle and wanting to know when to stop by. Keep in mind, they're just trying to lure me back in.
