A not so great purchasing experience After my car was totaled, I was contacted by the Delaware Cadillac sales team because I had brought my damaged vehicle to their body shop before it wa After my car was totaled, I was contacted by the Delaware Cadillac sales team because I had brought my damaged vehicle to their body shop before it was declared totaled. I went there and ended up making a deal to purchase a newer used vehicle with terms that worked for me. I was told that the vehicle comes with a 100,000 mile comprehensive warranty. It all seemed to go so easy. Too easy. The sales person firstly told me that he would be prepared to deliver the car to me after it is detailed and some minor body work is performed. This was promised to me at no cost. Several days later, the sales person called and told me that there was a little problem and I needed to come in and speak to his manager. When I did, the manager told me that the body work was more money than the sales person anticipated and I was expected to pay half. The manager was rude, spoke over me, and tried to tell me that they shoe horned the deal together for me like they were doing me a favor. I refused to pay half because it was THEIR mistake. Not mine. I should not have to pay for their mistake, but I ended up paying less than half to make the deal. A week later, I finally go to pick up my vehicle. The finance representative offered me warranty options to purchase. I said the vehicle comes with a 100,000 mile warranty. He was shocked to hear that and went back to the sales person. The sales person looked me in the eye and said he doesn't remember saying any such thing and doesn't even know what warranty options are available with a Subaru - yet he sold me this car. I was told that I must have misunderstood or didn't hear correctly. I know what I heard and had to deal with two men trying to talk me down and tell me I heard no such thing. I had already committed to purchasing the vehicle or I would have walked away. Between the sales person making promises he would soon "forget," a manager who spoke down to me, over me and expected me to be "fair" and pay for their mistake, and a warranty that only I seem to remember I would not recommend this dealership. At all. The finance representative told me he would be contacting me today with options about the warranty - he didn't want me to leave dissatisfied. Obviously, he is also forgetful of his words as I have heard nothing and it is lunch time. I would also state with confidence that if I were a man, this would never have been an issue. July 11, 2019 After my original posting, I contacted the General Manager and left a message. I also posted a review directly on the dealership website. He never called me, but we communicated by text. He said this would be used as a learning opportunity for the people involved. After all was said and done, the General Manager and his associate lived up to the warranty the sales person originally told me came with the car. So, I have a 100,000 mile warranty now and am pleased about that. The overall experience was still not a great one for me. However, I can say that I am pleased with the vehicle itself and I am pleased that the General Manager made good on what was promised to me originally. At least from the warranty perspective. More

Still waiting for 2nd key I purchased a CTS from them in December of '17. While purchasing the car from Kevin I had inquired about a 2nd key fob as the car only had one. He s I purchased a CTS from them in December of '17. While purchasing the car from Kevin I had inquired about a 2nd key fob as the car only had one. He stated that he would take care of it but it would take a couple weeks. After months went by I both emailed him and left messages for him, never to hear back from him. Now a year later I knew I had to come back for service as my seat wasn't working properly. I then at a suggestion of a friend wrote a bad review about having to wait a year for a key fob. This was answered immediately by the GM stating that I should email Kevin and he would take care of it. Kevin set me up for a service. I went early this morning and had my seat fixed, which they did with no problem. When inquiring about the key the service woman, who is extremely nice, said everyone in sales is busy in a meeting and without them signing off on it she could not get me a key. I really don't understand the poor level of service that they provide. How does it take a year to get a key fob? I had constant calls and emails when I was inquiring about purchasing the vehicle. Once you buy it they seem to forget about you. More

Just Fantastic!! i had such a great experience here at Delaware Cadillac. I purchased a 2016 Chevy Malibu, Kevin Ellis was my sales consultant and Angie Maddox was the i had such a great experience here at Delaware Cadillac. I purchased a 2016 Chevy Malibu, Kevin Ellis was my sales consultant and Angie Maddox was the customer service rep that helped me they were both so nice and very helpful they made the process seamless from picking out the car online to test driving the car, John Danze was the sales manager and he was great he kept me informed with the process of my application, what he needed to potentially get approved while i worked. I came in to test drive and everything was pretty much done before i got there which was fantastic, so happy i didn't have to spend all day waiting for approval. Jennifer was so friendly and very clear and patient with me when going through the paperwork with me, the entire process was so stress free and easy. The staff here was just so amazing i would definitely recommend this dealership to everyone that lets me know they need a car and i will be back in the future for sure! More

Scott was with another customer when I arrived so Kevin showed me the XTS and we talked about the features of the car. Kevin and Scott are the consummate gentlemen and not once did they pressure me to purchase. Scott and I discussed fair trade for the vehicle I was trading in, and just like that the deal was done. Also, Dave in finance was just the same - professional and personable. Dave took the time to explain all the "add-ons" and what might benefit me. If you're in the market for a vehicle, I'd highly recommend Delaware Cadillac...they are good people and treat you like family. More
