Absolutely Disappointed – Buyer Beware! I never write reviews, but I felt compelled after my nightmare experience with Mercedes Benz of Ann Arbor. If you’re considering buying or leasing I never write reviews, but I felt compelled after my nightmare experience with Mercedes Benz of Ann Arbor. If you’re considering buying or leasing a car here, save yourself the stress, wasted time, and frustration that I’ve endured. 1) Leasing a Broken Car – Total Negligence They leased me a car with a broken strut. There was a service bulletin indicating my car’s VIN could be impacted, but instead of doing their due diligence and checking the car before handing it over, they did nothing. I drove the car for just 24 hours before discovering something was wrong—sure enough, it took over three weeks for them to “fix” it. Clearly, making the sale is all they care about; your safety and experience mean nothing once the paperwork is signed. 2) Dismissive and Unhelpful Service Department Once the initial issue was sorted, a new problem appeared: my backup camera started making a loud clicking noise, turning on and off every single time I braked. It took three weeks to get a service appointment with a loaner. Two days before my appointment, I got a voicemail from Mercedes Benz telling me this noise was “standard operating procedure.” They never even saw or heard the car! Are we really supposed to believe that Mercedes Benz engineers designed a backup camera to make an obnoxious noise at every stop? That’s insulting. Worse yet, my appointment was canceled without any discussion. After waiting three weeks! When I called back and insisted my car needed to be checked, they acted as if I was being unreasonable and left a note making it seem like I was wasting their time. Extremely dismissive and entirely lacking in any sense of customer care. Blatant Disregard After the Sale Mercedes Benz of Ann Arbor wants your money, but once the sale is made, you’re left on your own with whatever problems your vehicle has. Their service attitude is unhelpful and apathetic at best. Could it be because I’m a woman that I was treated so poorly? Sadly, it crosses my mind. Maybe if I’d brought my dad or husband with me, they would have taken my concerns more seriously. I shouldn’t have to wonder, but here we are. Bottom Line: This is my first and LAST experience with Mercedes Benz. In three months, I’ve had nothing but headaches, runarounds, and appalling service. Find a dealership that actually cares once you sign the contract. I cannot in good faith recommend Mercedes Benz of Ann Arbor to anyone who expects even a basic level of respect or customer service.
