First, it was difficult to get a service appointment, which was problematic since we have only one vehicle. Moreover, red warning lights don't generate confidence in the vehicle's reliability, performanc which was problematic since we have only one vehicle. Moreover, red warning lights don't generate confidence in the vehicle's reliability, performance or its quality. I was advised that these red warning lights were likely not a real problem with the vehicle...If so, why even have red warning lights? Next, after a long wait for service, the purpose of my visit was to determine why two red warning lights were coming on even through there was apparently no actual problem with the vehicle...or was there? At the time, I didn't know. The problem was located, a faulty switching device. Cost to replace $4000. Fortunately, the good news, it's covered by warranty. However, I continue to get messages that want me to pay for this device from Audi...first at 10% off, most recent at 20% off...If this is warranty work, why these misleading messages? I called the service department and was assured that this $4000 fix is indeed warranty work. So, who is responsible for these messages? If it is someone in the Audi organization, this seems very unprofessional for a high quality, high performance vehicle manufacturer. Last. FYI, I had brought my vehicle in earlier for a similar problem, but with a yellow caution light instead that came on and off randomly. The service department did not diagnose the problem during that particular visit. I have to wonder why? Most likely, it was this bad switching device...?!? Honestly, I am starting to loose confidence in my Audi. From the time I picked the vehicle up, until now with these faulty status lights, there have been problems. I truly hope that this warranty work will clear up the latest problem. BTW, I don't remember the name of lady that helped us with our service...Maya? More
