The service department at this dealership will rip you off. They will try to upsell you on services that are not necessary. I took my 2022 540i in for an oil change and they wanted to charge me $150 to sc off. They will try to upsell you on services that are not necessary. I took my 2022 540i in for an oil change and they wanted to charge me $150 to scan the car for faults. That is basically plugging a scanner into the OBD port and reading what it says. Might take 10 minutes. Should be part of the overpriced oil change. After a 5-hour oil change I went to pick it up they tried to sell me new tires which were not needed (I had my set of winter tires on the car), then they tried to sell me new thrust arm bushings and flex disc for close to $3500. This car is barely 4 years old and only has 25,000 miles on it. I took it to an independent BMW repair shop the next day for a second opinion and it turns out that none of this work is necessary. Be careful with Schomp service department folks! They will try to scare you into some really expensive repairs that you don't need. They also take forever to do service work. What's the point of making an appointment if it's going to take all day anyway? More

On August 10 I was scheduled for an appointment at 1 PM and attempted to drop off my vehicle at 10 AM. I was greeted by an employee who looked up my appointment and said Mike Gibson was my service advisor and attempted to drop off my vehicle at 10 AM. I was greeted by an employee who looked up my appointment and said Mike Gibson was my service advisor and he would let him know that I had arrived. After a few minutes the greeter returned and said he would remind Mike that I was still waiting to discuss the issue with the vehicle since the rear differential was resealed back in March 2023. The Greeter then came back with an afterhours drop-off envelope and asked me to fill out the information and Mike would contact me later, I asked for Mike's email address so I could forward my warranty information and the Greeter returned and said Mike didn't have an email address. At this point I was very frustrated and walked to Mike's desk when he began waving his finger at me and said he was too busy to help me and to fill out the requested information. I told Mike I wanted to give him my warranty information (warranty was purchased at Schomp) because it doesn't seem to be recorded in your system and I am trying to save everybody time. Mike said that he didn't have time, he was helping 3 customers who were in the waiting room at which point I requested to talk to a Supervisor and Mike said that wasn't necessary. At this point I was upset and found 3 Supervisors in an office; one gentleman offered to help me but only after he was finished with another customer. After already waiting a considerable amount of time I needed to leave for a meeting and told the Supervisor that I was leaving and would find another BMW dealership to service my vehicle. More

After 30 years of buying Benz from Littleton Mercedes we decided to try a BMW X5 that I enjoyed driving. The buying experIence was fine with Connor Hanlon but the service experience with Mike Gibson has be decided to try a BMW X5 that I enjoyed driving. The buying experIence was fine with Connor Hanlon but the service experience with Mike Gibson has been terrible. After we told him the car had several computer issues he stated that the problem was operator error and didn’t have the time to discuss. He then went on to be very condescending and blew me off when we picked up the vehicle. Mike Gibson was so rude and acting like we were bothering him so we went to Josh Mooney who jumped in to help and signed us out so we could pick up the car - we were done with Gibson! Ryan Murphy in the Genius Dept was also helpful, friendly, considerate and confirming it was NEVER operator error and that BMW was following up with program updates in March to fix the huge problem that many are experiencing with this vehicle. He also offered to help anytime if needed in the future. More

My 2017 BMW X1 had a sheared cam cover bolt, causing total engine failure with only 57,000 miles. All scheduled maintenance was completed on the vehicle and BMW still refused to cover any costs. Schomp charged me over $1000 just to diagnose and then wanted $24,000 for a new engine. That is more than the car is worth, so I had a tow truck pick up the car, and Schomp was going to reassemble the inoperable engine so they could charge me even more. BMW does not stand by their products and Schomp is price gouging their customers. More

Winter tires and oil change I bought my car at Schomp BMW in 1913. Have had all the work done there since.
