Gurnee volkwagon can’t be trust ed when it comes to buying used a used car. They sold me a vehicle they bought at auction that had been in an accident with a poor repair. They have gone silent when I buying used a used car. They sold me a vehicle they bought at auction that had been in an accident with a poor repair. They have gone silent when I left messages for Sales GM Nedi and GM Rocco. First time I took the car through a car wash tue front fender popped off. Now one will call me back. Left message with Rohrman care and also now response. Stay a way it like the 80s movie used cars. No integrity from the dealership or organization as a whole. More

Dishonest business model. They added $2,000 of unwanted "protections" over the published selling price, then refused to sell us the car without it. Buyer beware. UPDATE: I purchased a car history report from Epic VIN and found out that my used car had not only been involved in an accident (that was on the Carfax), but had been totaled and involved in a salvage auc and found out that my used car had not only been involved in an accident (that was on the Carfax), but had been totaled and involved in a salvage auction and the entire front end was rebuilt. I found the auction, I found the dealer that repaired the car and sold it to Gurnee VW, and I know the dealer has access to the same information that I found. THEY DISCLOSED NONE OF THIS. The Carfax said NOTHING about any salvage records. The GM had the xxxxx to say "Well I have a clean title on the car" but was UNABLE to present that title when I asked for it. I reported them with the attorney general's office and made them take their junk car back. I drove home in my old car and never felt better. IF YOU SEE ANY USED VEHICLES THAT HAVE "GREAT" PRICES, BUY A VIN HISTORY FROM EPIC VIN AND GET A COMPLETE HISTORY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU THE TRUTH, none of them will. Alternatively, you can just Google the VIN number and if there was an insurance auction involving that vehicle you will find the actual images of the damaged vehicle to see the extent of the damage which, again, this dealership WILL NOT tell you. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. My original experience with this dealership was awful. I bought a $32,500 used car which ended up costing over $40,000 because of $8,000 of up-charges the dealership forced on me. I was told I had to purchase a $2,600 Xzilon coating, a $500 GPS device for a TESLA, way over-charged for gap insurance, etc. I could go on and on about the finance guy, Dave Labahn, who outright lied to me multiple times during our conversation and he never even told me that my finance rate had changed. Instead, he told me that if I buy the extended warranty that "my payment would only go up by $2 per month". Well, the truth was that my rate when down by about 3% from what they original told me it would be and the "$2 per month" was $2 more than what my rate WOULD HAVE BEEN at the old rate. Sleazy! After going around and around with the salesman and Dave the following day, they told me that my financing "wasn't finalized yet" and wanted me to come back in. At that point I smelled another scam coming and called the general sales manager, Nebi. To his credit, Nebi was very professional and he took most of the charges off for me after I explained the situation (it sounded like he had heard about me before I called anyway) without any further argument and I was able to go back and sign my paperwork at the rate that I was originally quoted on their website. In the end, I got the car for a really good price and only one relatively minor up-charge which was closer to what I would expect to pay for it (xzilon ceramic coating). I probably wouldn't go back there simply because I don't ever want to work with someone like Dave again, as he is the reason that most people HATE car shopping. We need more laws to protect consumers in situations like this. Bottom line: Had a miserable experience on my first trip there, but things were made more or less right at the end of the day. More
