Little did I know, I was about to step into a vortex of deception and incompetence. From the outset, it was clear that Grubbs Volvo Grapevine had no qualms about deviating from the agreed-upon price. What was supposed to be a $38,500 deal miraculously morphed into a demand for an additional $1,500 down payment – a sleight of hand that would make even the most seasoned con artist blush.
