Anyway, I ended up working with a nice lady Janae and then bought from Eric. Overall I felt like I was brushed off and everyone else had to clean up his mess. We found a low-mileage, updated version of his current car at Andy Mohr CDJR and scheduled a test drive. When we arrived, one of the tires was nearly flat. Our salesperson, Steve, put air in it so we could take it for a drive. He also insisted on joining us, which made the experience uncomfortable—we couldn't have a private conversation or test the car freely. This was the only dealership where a salesperson accompanied us on a test drive. Due to the flat tire and heavy traffic on I-465, we couldn’t drive the car at highway speeds. Still, we were reassured that the vehicle had passed inspection and the only issue was the tire, so we moved forward with the purchase based on its low mileage and overall condition. The buying process itself was slow. Steve repeatedly answered personal phone calls and struggled with forgotten passwords throughout the paperwork. On the way home, my husband noticed that the 2018 BMW 340i xDrive didn’t drive as smoothly as his previous 2015 BMW 328i xDrive. We assumed it needed new tires and an alignment, which we scheduled and completed that following weekend. While it did improve slightly, the car still had poor acceleration and wasn’t running smoothly at highway speeds. We contacted a certified BMW mechanic, and once they were able to inspect it a few weeks later, we learned the transfer case needed to be replaced—a $6,000 repair. The mechanic stated this was not an issue that could have developed suddenly and should have been caught during any proper pre-sale inspection. They strongly encouraged us to contact the dealership. I immediately called Steve, who said the general manager would follow up. That didn’t happen. I left multiple voicemails for the GM—twice daily for over a week. He finally returned my call at 8 p.m. one night. During our conversation, he acknowledged that an inspection should have been done but admitted he wasn’t "service-savvy" and needed to speak with the service manager. He promised a follow-up the next day. It’s now been over a week since that conversation. Despite daily calls and voicemails, I have received no response. Even the BMW mechanic was shocked that a reputable dealership has failed to take any accountability or provide a resolution. We are deeply disappointed. We purchased a $27,000 vehicle—our most expensive yet—only to face an immediate $6,000 repair due to what appears to be either negligence or dishonesty on the dealership’s part. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disheartening experience. More

Had a great experience at Andy Mohr Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Indianapolis. We bought a used (5000 miles) 2025 Durango R/T 20th Anniversary Edition Plus for $55,500. That’s $13,000 under original MSRP on a 6 month old car. We were going to finance through USAA, but they beat USAA’s rate by .5%. Steve and Nick were very helpful. On the Durango, it sold itself. We test drove it to see about highway noise (none) and my wife loved the car and wanted that one. I hope they don’t quit making the Durango’s. Always a favorite with me, this is our second one. I highly recommend Andy Mohr. More

I never write reviews, but my experience with Andy Mohr CDJR was so terrible that I need to make an exception. If I can stop one person from buying a car with them, then I see this review as a success. Thi CDJR was so terrible that I need to make an exception. If I can stop one person from buying a car with them, then I see this review as a success. This is going to be a long rant, but I truly hope it helps someone. My wife and I were looking for a used car for under $9-10k, knowing that we wouldn't find anything even close to perfect. We had both lost our cars in the space of a week. She lost her car in a hit-and-run accident, and I lost mine due to transmission failure. We shopped around at some used car lots but ran into shady salesmen who didn't want us to test drive the cars, refused to pull service history, etc. We went to Andy Mohr thinking that a dealership would be more reputable even if they charged a little more. Andy Mohr had a 2009 Ford Escape listed at $5,900 with only 100k miles on it, which sounded like an amazing deal. The salesman Steve Pumphrey let me take it for a drive around the dealership, and he seemed nice enough, but after looking under the car, I was worried about the amount of rust under the vehicle. I know very little about cars, and I repeatedly asked Steve if the rust would be an issue, and he repeatedly said it wouldn't present an issue anytime soon. He said “this car is an absolute steal” and “these cars don't last long here.” I decided to buy the car, which ended up being closer to $7200 with all the buying fees included and also because they didn't have a key for me, and the clicker on the one they gave me doesn't even work. When I drove the car off, it started making a loud rattling sound in the back, and the car shook a lot when I went over bumps. I didn't notice this when I took it for a test drive earlier, maybe because the road was smoother around the dealership? I took it to my local mechanic for a checkup and he called me the next day asking me where the &^*% I got the car. He said that there is nothing holding up the shocks in the rear and that the car is rusted to ^&%$. He said it is unsafe to drive on the highway and he said that I need to take it back to the dealership and ask for my money back. I knew that I signed as-is documents when I bought the car, so I didn't think this would work. Instead, I went to body repair shops around Indy to see if any of them could repair the car. Almost every single one told me that the car is too far gone and that I should sell it for scrap. The only place that was even willing to try was Indy Body Werks in Speedway, but they said it would be thousands of dollars and they couldn't guarantee a safe fix. They were shocked that Andy Mohr would sell a car in such bad shape, and wrote me a letter to take to the dealership saying the car is unsafe to drive. I drove in the unsafe car to the dealership and walked up to Steve Pumphrey, and before I could finish listing the things that were wrong, he said “I'm not a mechanic” and went to get a manager named Brian. Brian listened to my concerns and told me that he would call some of the mechanics I had gone to and if the car is unsafe to drive, I could trade it in for another car in the lot. He called me saying that they could offer me $2500 for the car and trade me into another one, after they had just sold me the car for almost triple that amount. He also said in his voicemail that “any service shop will be more than happy to repair that for you” when I already told him that wasn't the case and he didn't call a single one of them. I was furious and since they don't return your phone calls, I had to drive in again to speak with Brian, and he said that he didn't get any of my voicemails (which I doubt). He DID NOT call the mechanics he told me he would. He only spoke to the mechanic who already passed the car. He did a bunch of verbal gymnastics to dodge the fact that Andy Mohr sold me an unsafe car, and offered to buy back the car at an insultingly low amount.
