They sold me a truck with engine damage because they use the wrong oil. I bought a 2024 Ram 2500 with the diesel engine and they installed 15W40 oil. There is a technical service bulletin from Ram that says you cannot use 15W40 oil because it would cause engine damage. Cox Chevrolet refuses to undo the deal they change the oil with the correct oil and are acting like everything is fine. After speaking with the local Ram dealership they said that the wrong oil would cause it to void the powertrain warranty and cause engine damage and potentially engine failure. They do not want to help me address the situation other than the oil change that they already did. More

The truck I bought was said to be a 96/100 points for how clean it is. Upon first look it was a great truck. After about 3 days the rapid response team logos from their rap was showing in the paint. They also had said it was never in an accident although the front bumper had cracks and chrome tape covering up the imperfections. The truck has dented rear bumper and sanding/ filler and paint work don’t on the side doors where they removed the 2500hd. Few days later I have a check engine light along with a pre discussed coolant leak they did not take care of for me. The truck has lots more imperfections and issues then I was lead to believe. I would say it’s on them but it’s 100% my fault for trusting a dealership who claimed to have the cleanest one on the market. This truck has 60k miles but seems to be in the condition of something with closer to 150-200k miles. Things were covered up and they are going to say it’s sold as is, and that they just sell the cars how they get them. I am going to keep this truck and learn my lesson but I’m writing this for others so they can be more vigilant than I was when dealing with a used car from them. More
