Took my car in to be checked out. Called and made appointment, car was surging a little. At that time I was told they would have to keep it 2 weeks. Said it was probably my transmissi Called and made appointment, car was surging a little. At that time I was told they would have to keep it 2 weeks. Said it was probably my transmission, ask me how many miles I had on car. I told him. He told me it is under warranty. Shocked me. I took it on Wednesday morning around 7:15 am. On that following Monday around noon I got a call saying I had to have a new transmission. I said what!! He said it is not under warranty miles were good but model of car was not. I have a 2019 Ford Explorer with 51,700 miles.You should never tell someone that their car is under warranty and it not be. He should have had my car pulled up. That can come back to bite you in the butt. I should have balked him and said no you said it was under warranty. Have never had any work done on this car. Only have oil change done at the dealership since I bought it brand new. He said torque converter had gone out. Said it would be 8400.00. I said why can you not just replace torque converter. He told me the last 3 they replaced came back to bite them in the butt, so now they replace whole transmission. I then called Ford corporate, they told me when they looked on Ford Pass all they saw was low voltage and where I had a low tire pressure week before. They told me to go get my car right now. I went down to pick up car and pay the 177.00 bill. He told me it was 160.00 per hour for labor and taxes. I ask did you put car on machine or go in transmission. He said on machine. I said you have had my car since Wednesday when did you put on machine, he replied Friday. Makes no sense. He then goes on to tell me I got you a price to replace torque converter. I said I thought yall did not do that anymore. He said well we will. I said I will not let you replace it? You said last 3 came back and bit you in the butt. I said I think you need new technicians. I am so confused, so I have a car with less than 60,000 miles on it and have no clue what is wrong with it. I am very upset with the car dealership. I bought care here and have had all oil changes here and never had work done on this car. They offered no help at all after misleading and saying it was under warranty. More
