What Others Say

I put 1 star because they don't have a negative rating. My review is short. I am a recent widow. Saved every penny of $1700, which wasn't easy. Had a friend drive me 6 hours to this place to buy an older car I could afford. They assured me it was a good running car and would get me home and in fine condition. They lied. After I put headlights and all fluids in car it made it an hour. Dropped transmission and drained battery all at once and I was stranded on MAJOR interstate in a very dangerous situation at dark. I called them and they told me me I bought a $1700 car. Nothing they would do. Finally got to a hotel and it took my months check (fixed income) to get home. Sorry bunch and criminal place. They straight up lied to me and knew it when they did it. THIEVES!!!!!!!

SO HAPPY THIS PLACE IS OUT OF BUSINESS! My husband and I purchased a car from Metro Auto. It was a 2002 Ford Taurus. We wanted a 2005 Accord. They said since we had credit challenges that we should go with the Ford Taurus because we could simply bring it back in December to trade up. Since the car was only %5,000 and our interest rate was only 6% we said fine and that we would be back in a few months. They even gave us a warranty and paid for our full coverage insurance..YEAH RIGHT!! Come to find out they put us with a finance company that was financing us at 29%...not 6% and they put the car at $6,700. The finance company called us about two months later asking for proof of insurance, we gave it to them and they said that the number did not exist. We called Allstate and was informed the Metro Auto had be making up fake insurance agents and that we in fact did NOT have insurance with them. I immediately called Blake from Metro Auto and he said "The agent does exist, just call him. I played golf with him yesterday". I called the man who of course NEVER ANSWERED! We had had it with their false claims and went down there that following month and low and behold THEY WERE OUT OF BUSINESS! Now we are stuck with this lemon (the warranty was from them and went out of business with them. The air conditioner did not work, seat belts do not work, the electrical system went out so we have to use the keys to get in and out, and we have sunk more than $2,000 in repairs in under 2 years). On top of that we have made $4,000 in payments, yet our balance is still at $5,700 because of their switch of finance companies! Now we are simply stuck!

I find it very hard to believe that these people are still in bussiness they are nothing but a bunch of crooks looking to rip people off I got a ford five hundred from there they said it was not a rent a car but of course them being full of sh!# was a lie they gave me a made up carfax history report saying everything was ok bullsh!t not two days after i got the car the transmission went out i called metro and was told that the warranty i had on the car expired the day before so i had to fork over 1800 bucks to fix the tranny i had the dealership do a carfax history report also and come to find out the f@$k!ng car was a rental in hawaiI PLEASE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING TO THIS PLACE YOUR ONLY HEADING FOR TROUBLE

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I wish I had read these reviews before using this dealer. I was "sold" a 2006 car and told that my loan was approved without any issues. A week later they asked me to stop by and sign some papers because there was something that they forgot. They told me that I had to be there by Saturday or my loan would be void. That day I had to take my wife to the emergency room, I called them and explained what was going on, they insisted that I still had to "stop by to sign papers" that day. I left her there and when I arrived at the dealership and explained I had no time to hang around, they made me wait for over an hour before talking to the sales mgr. Then told me that the loan was not actually approved and they were not able to finance me with that vehicle. I was stuck. They put me in an older model of the same car, it had a lot more miles and needed many repairs. They took advantage of my emergent situation. I ended up having to wait there for three hours while my wife was in the ER. I also ended up coerced into a loan with a 29% interest instead of the original 6%. The finance company, "Central Finance" was a nightmare as well. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP & FINANCE COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!

My mom saw an add on tv for any credit approval with payments under $100 and no down payment. My mom called and they assured her they could approve me no matter what just come down and she set up an appointment with the sales rep. When we got there the rep we had an appointment with was not available so they sat us down with another rep who said he was new and acted like he had no idea what he was doing or what was going on.I explained from the begining that I did not have a down payment and I was looking for low payments, they said no problem. They came in and sd they can approve me for $2000 down and $250 a month? Told them there was no way I could do that. Then they said they had to use my dad as a co-signor, so my dad willingly gave his info. A bit later they came in and said they didnt need my dad to be a co signor they could aprove me for $500 down over a month and $260 a month. I finally agrred after at least three hours of this. (oh and they let me choose between two cars and that was it) when I went to sign the papers that were "approved" by JP Morgan Chase they said my dad had to sign as well???? My dad signed just so we could get out of there. Three days later Ritchie calls me back with "great news" they found a diff bank to approve my loan at a smaller price and I needed to come down and sign right away. We went down there and they give me a new contract with the monthly payments at least $30 more then what we agreed on. I told them I can not afford that, ritchie said that Jp morgan denied my loan and this is what I had to go with cause the other contract was null and void. I told him to take the keys back themn because there was no way I could do that, he told me to keep the keys, go home and give him a couple days to get a better deal. I listend to him as honestly I was scared to even argue with theese people. The next day my mom got a call from another car company and she explained to them the situation I was in . The saleman told my mom he had heard of this many times from Metro and they rip people off.. The saleman prompted my mom to come in to talk so we did. they said they could approve me for a much better car and help me get rid of the one I had through Metro. I took the car back to Metro and they tried to tell me I owned the car and had to keep it. I told them Ritchie told me my contract was null and void as JP Morgan had denied it. The guy at Metro said a new loan was approved that morning and I had to keep the car. I set the keys down in front of him and left. They tried for about a week to get us to get the car but I went with the other dealership and am so glad. I would not reccomend anyone going there, they are pushy, mean and will do anything to rip you off...

My first experience with this dealership was OK at best. The car we test drove was good and we made a deal. When we were ready to leave, we did'nt even get off the lot when the motor expired and dumped oil everywhere. They then put us in a better car for the same price which I thought was good. We went back some time later to purchase another car and was there all day to no avail. After credit was run, they tried to put us in a car that ws at least ten years old with at least 150,000 miles saying that was all we qualified for. This was a car for my daughter and was declined. Another offer of another car that looked like it just came from the junk yard. We left angered and felt that we were treated very poorly. The next day at another dealer I got a 2002 chevy 3500 pickup. Funny I qualified for that vehicle but could not get anything but junk from Metro. A couple years later my daughter was again looking for a car when she found a program that helped with no or new credit. It was called Crazy 88"s. She applied for this program and recieved a phone call saying she was approved for their financing and that she could go to Metro Auto Wholesale as they were the closest to her address. I told her to call them and question them on how the program worked. On four, yes four different calls she was told that she was approved for a loan on ANY car on their lot. We went there and they put her in a 2005 Chevrolet Impala. I was sceptical when they told us that I had to co-sign in order for her to get the best financing. Now my credit is ok, (around 680) and when done we were told it was a done deal. She left with the car and two weeks later they called all excited and told her that she had to return the car, that we didnt qualify and they could not find a lender to buy the car loan even though the salesman told us that Wachovia had approved our loan. I just can not help feeling that this whole crazy 88 program and dealership are not somehow connected to lure people in to the dealership. This dealership has time and again tried to sell junk to us. Then when they do sell something decent, they suddenly cant get the loan sold. I can promise this to anyone who readfs this that I will never again go to Metro Auto Wholesale, nor my family, nor my friends, nor their family, nor their friends and anyone else I can warn. I believe this dealership just rips off people. Period. Never again. Thanks for reading my experiences with this dealer.
