I am frustrated. - Lcroni31
I am frustrated. I came to this Kia back in 2022 and leased my current Kia K5. I was contacted by Kia about their Memorial day Sale and I got in contact with the dealership because I was interested in trading in my current lease for a lower payment.
When I called, they refused to give me any information whatsoever about the process, even after I told them that I was over an hour away. They just kept repeating that in order to look into anything I would need to make an appointment and come in person.
I rush after work to come in person, and managed to make it. I believe the person helping me was named Jay (I am not 100% sure). When working with this person, I explained to them that I am going through credit recovery and my current score was very rough. I told him that IF I decided to go through with the process, I would have a co-signer to support with this.
He asked me for the co-signers information, at which point I clarified with him THREE TIMES that I would not receive a hard hit on our credit reports. He assured me it was not a hard hit, just that they were looking to see what our options were. Upon leaving, I found out that they did in fact hard run both of our credit reports, which in turn makes my struggle even worse with my credit report.
Finally, the original question I was attempting to ask over the phone, ended up being a hard no and left me with no other option with the dealership. Essentially, I drove a total of 3 hours, on a Friday afternoon in heavy traffic, just to have my credit score brought down and to be told no to a question that I could have had answered over the phone.....
I think overall no one here is intending to be shady or malicious, but I am very frustrated by the misinformation and lack of willingness to communicate with ALREADY paying customers, and would not recommend this location to friends or family in the future.
