This exceptionally well-preserved 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL remained with its original owner's family until 2022, a testament to the care it has received throughout its life.
Powering this classic is a 1.9-liter inline-four engine that was professionally overhauled in 2019, paired with a four-speed manual transmission rebuilt during the same year. The fuel pump and radiator were also replaced in 2019 as part of the car's continued mechanical upkeep. More recently, the original Solex carburetors were replaced with Weber carburetors for improved drivability, while the original carburetors accompany the sale.
Inside, the upholstery has been refinished throughout, including the seats, cushions, carpeting, dashboard, and door panels. A period-correct Becker Europa AM/FM radio remains in place, preserving the cabin's classic character.
The exterior is complemented by a replacement brown soft top with a matching tan boot, and the factory removable hardtop is included for added versatility.
