1980 Jeep CJ-7

The Jeep brand and its extremely capable CJ series do not really need any type of introduction. They have been conquering trails, streams, dunes and highways for decades. They are reliable, inexpensive to maintain and are an iconic brand in the automotive world. Pleased to present this well cared for and highly original 1980 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade with just 45k miles showing on the odometer. This Jeep has a great setup with the BestTop soft top, center console, doors and seat covers. The 4spd manual transmission hustles through the gears with ease and no grinding. Just like any of the older Jeeps it is a touch cold blooded, but once it warms up it is a joy to drive and handles the roads nicely. During our test drive the Jeep performed well and lights, hi/lo beams, power steering, oil pressure gauge, voltage meter, wipers, heat, stereo, temp gauge, fuel gauge and RPM gauge were all working. The gas gauge did not register 100% accurate but after a fill up showed just over a 1/2 tank. The car sits on some great 15in white wheels with newer BF Goodrich tires and has dual exhaust with FlowMaster mufflers that give it a nice sound. We recently installed a new carpet kit to provide some better insulation and sound deadening. These are getting nearly impossible to find in this original setup and only going up in value as Hagerty just rated it as one of the top SUV's to buy before they get out of reach for most of us.
