Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this modern '80's Classic car, 1 owner from new 1987 Dodge Omni America, good clean car, enthusiast maintained, the 2.2L inline 4-cylinder engine producing approximately 96 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. Red velour interior and 5 speed manual transmission. The Dodge Omni America was Chrysler's strategic answer to the influx of inexpensive imports like the Hyundai Excel and Yugo into the US in the 80's. By streamlining production and limiting options, Dodge was able to slash the price from over $6,200 to just $5,499, making it the lowest-priced American-assembled subcompact at the time. Now in 2026, these cars are hard to find considering the 12 year production run from 1978 to 1990 and over 762,500 units produced alongside its sister car, the Plymouth Horizon.
