Centurion Vehicles, inc., located in White Pigeon, Michigan was known for their high quality conversions of Ford Trucks and Bronco's when the status quo offered by the Factory was just not good enough. These vehicles were mostly special ordered through your local Ford dealer. Centurion was noted for producing the most luxurious conversions available at the time. This Centurion Classic was ordered and sold new by Landmark Ford, inc, of Trigard, OR. It is powered by Ford's legendary 460 V8 Big Block engine, automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive system. Centurion Vehicles inc outfitted with vehicle with handsome appointments not offered by Ford to included: Centurion Graphics, chrome brush bar, special aluminum wheels, full running board options, special bumper, Centurion badging, exterior illumination, roof visor, folding mirrors, exterior entry handle, special interior wood trim, custom cloth upholstery, 3 way front bench with center storage and folding desk with cup holders, Cobra CB Radio, custom overhead console with illumination. This truck still came equipped with all the XLT options offered by the Ford Factory, to include power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, cargo light, cruise control, air conditioning, dual tanks, tilt wheel, etc. This Centurion XLT 4X4 remained in the same family and resided in the Salem, OR area until our recent aquisition. At just over 106,000 miles, it remains in amazing original condition to include original paint, original decal package, all original interior, unmolested clean original frame and underside and original engine and engine bay. It benefited from overall light use and indoor storage when parked. This combined with the Pacific Northwest climate ensured a well preserved special order Pickup. The exterior paint shows very well with some minor chips and defects due to use. The bed is clean and used, we chose not to line it to show off its integrity. The inteiror is overall very clean showing off an excellent original dash and gauges. The original seat upholstery remains very clean with expected minor wear on the driver seat bolster, the wood is in good condition showing proper patina, and the original carpet in very good condition. The frame and underside of this behemoth is excellent original. No rot, no undercoating, no fluff; just clean and honest. These trucks remain very popular and clean, honest examples are becoming harder and harder to find. This, being a Centurion Edition, will stand head and shoulders above the crowd and when comparing size, strength and girth. Values are rising and this generation of Ford pickups have become quite collectible with quality originals being the most sought after.
