Seller's Comments
1993 Porsche 968 Club Sport Coupe -One Owner From New Until 2024 -Complete With Books, Tools, and Two Original Keys -Original Purchase Invoice and Records -Never Modified, Tracked, or Damaged Original Kilometers: 69,487, equals 43,177 Miles Produced from 1991 to 1995, the 968 is the final evolution of the âtransaxleâ Porsches that began in 1978 with the 924, expanded with the introduction of the 944 in 1982, and culminated with the 968 in 1991. The Porsche 968 is a wonderfully balanced sports car with a 3.0 liter, naturally aspirated, inline four-cylinder, that is water-cooled. Transmission options included a four-speed automatic (Tiptronic) or a 6-speed manual. The front engine rear transaxle setup allowed for 50/50 weight distribution and excellent handling. The 968 Club Sport is 220 lbs (100 kg) lighter than a standard coupe. This weight reduction was achieved by removing several luxury features such as rear seats, sound deadening, power windows, air-conditioning, radio, power windows, central locking, a rear wiper. Other necessary items were replaced with lighter weight versions such as the fixed-back seats by Recaro, fabric door pulls, lighter weight carpets, and thinner glass. The result is what can be expected, a driver-focused road car that could handle track days too. This highly original 968 CS was completed in Stuttgart on January 15, 1993, and sent to Belgium where it was sold new by Tag Porsche Centre on March 5, 1993. The car remained in Belgium until 2025 when it was imported to the USA. A nice file of original purchase documents, early service records, and registrations, are on file. The overall condition is excellent with beautiful black paintwork, excellent wheel finish, and a near perfect interior. On the road the torquey four-cylinder feels strong, and the six-speed is ultra slick. Please note that due to current smog regulations, this car cannot be registered in California.
