Seller's Comments

When the fourth generation Camaro Z28 arrived, it leapfrogged the Ford Mustang so decisively that automotive journalists said it was not even close. The foundation was the LT1 V8 borrowed directly from the Corvette, and the Z28 name had already been selected as the Indianapolis 500 pace car four times by 1994, which tells you exactly what Chevrolet thought of it. The car you are looking at started as that foundation and was then taken apart and rebuilt into something considerably more serious. Finished in black over black leather with glass T-tops, it looks exactly the way a built Z28 should look The engine begins as a 383 stroker built on the LT1 block, bored .030 over and assembled with Eagle forged 4340 steel crankshaft, Eagle H-beam rod bolt upgrade, JE piston pin upgrade, Comp custom cam at 0.495 and 0.510 lift, Comp roller lifters, AFR 195cc CNC custom heads, an LT4 intake, and a 58mm BBK throttle body. On top of all of that sits a 9 pound intercooled ProCharger centrifugal supercharger, tied together with MSD ignition and tuned with a custom Fastchip program. This is a complete, ground-up engine build with every major internal component upgraded and the forced induction properly supported. The Glastek fiberglass hood keeps the weight down and gives the supercharger room to breathe. Behind the engine is a fully built cryogenic treated six speed manual transmission with a short throw shifter, STAR clutch and pressure plate, and SLP headers flowing into a 4 inch Mufflex exhaust with Flowmaster muffler. Out back a 4.10 Auburn Posi rear end with upgraded axles puts everything to the pavement. Subframe connectors and Eibach lowering springs tighten the chassis and drop the car into a stance that matches what is happening under the hood. ZR1 chrome wheels finish the exterior with the right presence for a car built like this. Inside, the black leather cabin is clean with Mordskog digital gauges giving you a complete real-time read across every system. This is not a car that was built to sit at a car show and collect trophies. It was built to go, and everything about the parts list reflects that intention. The fourth generation Camaro had one of the most dedicated performance aftermarket communities of any car of its era, and a fully built example like this one represents the top end of what that community produced. These cars are not getting any easier to find in this state of tune. Please call or email us today for more information.
