Introduced as the successor to the DB7, the DB9 debuted Aston Martins then-new VH (Vertical/Horizontal) platform, which offered a stiffer, lighter structure thanks to its aluminum construction. Under the hood, it carries a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces around 450 horsepower, paired with either a six-speed automatic Touchtronic gearbox or a more driver-focused six-speed manual. This setup allows the DB9 to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just over 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of nearly 190 mph, making it a serious competitor in the luxury sports car segment of its era. Visually, the DB9 is one of Aston Martins most iconic designs, with its flowing lines, signature grille, and sculpted profile that give it timeless appeal.
