It bridged the gap between standard 3-Series models and the high-strung M3 by offering upgraded engine tuning, a sport-tuned suspension, and aggressive styling Performance & Engine Upgrades Power Output: 235 hp (a 10 hp increase over the standard 3.0L M54 engine). Engine Specs: 3.0-liter inline-six featuring more aggressive camshafts, updated ECU programming, and a lighter flywheel. Redline: Increased to 6,800 RPM (up from 6,500 RPM). Transmission: 6-speed manual (available with a short-throw shifter) or a 5-speed Steptronic automatic. Exhaust: Free-flowing sport exhaust providing a deeper, more aggressive note.
