Revealed to the world at the 2005 Frankfurt (Germany) Motor Show, the Volvo C70 brought to fruition the collaboration between engineers at Volvo, Ford, Mazda, and Pininfarina to create the P1 global platforms hardtop convertible. This 2007 Volvo C70 T5 Hardtop Convertible is not currently for sale, but may become available soon. Call for details. === MODEL HERITAGE === The debut of the P1 platform C70 coupe and convertible in the U.S. market brought a new level of style, performance, and safety to the sport-luxury segment. The combination of an efficient turbocharged 5-cylinder engine (218 hp, 236 ft/lbs), offer inspiring and sporty driving in any weather. === COMMITTMENT TO SAFETY === The C70 integrates long-standing Volvo safety innovations such the SIPS side-impact protection system, high levels of pedestrian protection, intelligent vehicle architecture along with the innovative ROPS roll-over protection structure: two instant-deployable rollover hoops hidden behind the rear seats. When the IIHS conducted its first crash tests of several convertibles, it designated the C70 a ''Top Safety Pick.'' In a documented incident in Sweden, a woman was able to walk away from an accident after she slid off an ice-covered mountain road and rolled her C70 which then slid more than 30 feet down the mountain face.
