ONE OWNER FOR ITS FIRST 15 YEARS, 42,150 MILES, AND THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER TO PROVE HOW IT LEFT THE FACTORY.Island cars are a special breed. This Fusion SE was sold new at Brien Ford in Everett in the spring of 2011 and went straight home to Whidbey Island, where its original owner kept it for the next 15 years and averaged fewer than 2,800 miles a year. Island errands, ferry lines, no hurry. The CARFAX shows no accidents and no damage, a guaranteed clean title, and the Regular Oil Changes track record, with the odometer log marching neatly from 5 miles to 42,083 before it came to the Tri-Cities.The recent care is done, too: coolant flushed and fresh oil this spring, new ignition coils, and the passenger side airbag assembly replaced at Corwin Ford Tri-Cities.We have the original window sticker. This car left the factory wearing its $395 optional Red Candy Metallic Tinted paint over Charcoal Black cloth, with the SE package including SYNC voice-activated calling and music, an 8-way power driver's seat with lumbar, 17 inch wheels, fog lamps, steering wheel audio controls, and AdvanceTrac electronic stability control. Total MSRP in 2011: $24,060. The EPA rated the 2.5L four and 6-speed automatic at 23 city and 33 highway, which still makes the drive to Spokane cheap.This is the car you buy for a new driver and actually sleep at night: modest power, stability control, a documented history, and low enough miles that the expensive years are still far away. It is also the car you buy for yourself when you are done making payments on things.It is Archibald Certified, which is a program, not a phrase: a 100-point quality inspection, all identified mechanical issues corrected before sale, full interior deep extraction, exterior reconditioning, and a 3 Month, 3,000 Mile Limited Warranty on engine, transmission, and differential components.Clean, low-mile commuters at this price do not linger on our lot.
