The 2013 Chevrolet Equinox is a spacious, comfortable, and stylish compact SUV with strong safety ratings, multiple engine options, and generally positive consumer feedback.The 2013 Equinox comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive optional. A 3.6-liter V6 is available on all trims except the base LS, delivering 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque, offering stronger acceleration and towing capability. Fuel economy estimates for the four-cylinder are 22 mpg city / 32 mpg highway, while the V6 achieves 17/24 mpg with front-wheel drive. Road tests suggest real-world mileage may be slightly lower than EPA estimates.
