Seller's Comments
Subarus are tanks. When you drive them, they feel connected to the road, to the ground, to the world. It's an odd sensation that can feel sort of clunky until you get used to it, but it's very unique and people really love it. The connected feeling comes from a combination of three things primarily: the symmetrical all wheel drive, the boxer style engines, and the CVT transmissions. People have a tendency to under estimate the S-AWD compared to regular AWD, and while I hope you never truly need either in a pinch, I recommend driving a Subaru to truly understand the difference. The boxer engines are designed with horizontal pistons instead of up-and-down (inline) or V piston configurations which give them a unique torque feel. And despite my personal disdain for the execution of most brands' CVT, Subaru makes a great line up of transmissions and they do make these cars smooth. Most of the time, these boxer engines are great, but even Subarus have problems, so in the interest of full transparency I must tell you that we had to get the engine replaced on this one. It has a fresh used engine with less miles, and I've personally driven it and it functions as expected if not better! The engine is a 2.5L H4 engine, and all told this car gets about 30mpg on the highway and 24mpg in the city. As a Subaru it has a top of the line crash test rating across the board. It's a Carfax 1-Owner vehicle. Its silver exterior isn't my favorite color, but for silver cars in general Subaru really does a good job making it a beautiful silver. On the inside the interior is used but not abused; there's signs of people having owned it for 10+ years, although nothing is damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear. It's not gonna win any marks for outstanding condition for a Subaru, but it still stands proud and ready to roll for thousands of miles yet. -Henry, The Car Son ''Finding you the perfect ride, just like Dad would.'' -The Car Dad
