The 2015 McLaren 650S Spider is a high-performance open-top supercar powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 producing 641 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered through a 7-speed dual-clutch Seamless Shift Gearbox to the rear wheels, enabling a 0-60 mph time of around 3 seconds. The retractable hardtop roof operates in under 17 seconds and can be used at speeds up to 19 mph, combining coupe-like rigidity with convertible driving pleasure. The carbon-fiber MonoCell chassis keeps weight low and stiffness high, enhancing handling precision. ProActive Chassis Control suspension allows multiple driving modes, from comfortable road cruising to track-focused agility. Aerodynamic elements such as the integrated rear air brake and sculpted bodywork provide stability and downforce. Inside, the driver-focused cockpit features Alcantara and leather trim, carbon-fiber accents, and McLaren's IRIS infotainment system.
