2016 Dodge Challenger

The Hellcat name was borrowed from the Grumman F6F Hellcat, a World War II Navy fighter plane known for its power and aggression, and the engine itself was developed under a secret internal project called Operation Tomcat. When Dodge finally revealed it to the public, the response was immediate and overwhelming. Demand was so far beyond anything Dodge had anticipated that they were forced to more than double production for the 2016 model year just to keep up with orders. The car that caused all of that was a 707 horsepower supercharged V8 in a two-door muscle car that looked like 1970 and performed like nothing that had come before it. Those are numbers that were embarrassing supercars costing three times as much when this car was new, and they are just as relevant today. New tires mean it is ready to go from day one.
