The 2020 Toyota Highlander Platinum Hybrid is the top-of-the-line, fully loaded trim of Toyota's popular three-row midsize hybrid SUV. Reconfigured for the 2020 model year on Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA), it swapped the previous generation's V6 hybrid setup for a highly efficient four-cylinder hybrid powertrain.
Powertrain: 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with electric motors and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT).
Performance: 243 total system horsepower. Available in both Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and Electronic All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configurations.
Fuel Economy: An EPA-estimated 35 mpg city / 34 mpg highway (35 mpg combined), offering best-in-class efficiency for a vehicle of its size at launch.
Seating Capacity: 7 passengers maximum, featuring standard second-row captain's chairs and a 60/40 split third-row bench.

Infotainment: A massive 12.3-inch touchscreen display the largest in the Highlander line up fully compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. It is paired with a premium 11-speaker or 12-speaker JBL sound system.
Cabin Comfort: Heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, Glazed Caramel or graphite premium leather trim, and a sweeping panoramic moonroof.
