The ALPINA B8 Gran Coupe occupies a space BMW itself never quite filled. It has the proportions and refinement of an 8 Series Gran Coupe, but ALPINA approached the car with its traditional formula: enormous power, serious high-speed capability and a chassis calibrated to remain comfortable enough for a cross-country drive.
Its 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 produces 612 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, sending power through an ALPINA-calibrated eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. BMW quoted 0 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and a 201-mph top speed.
