Why We Acquired This Vehicle
This XM arrived with its factory build sheet, which is the difference between describing a car and documenting one. It lists the VIN, the base suggested price of $159,000, and every option code the original buyer specified - more than forty lines of them. Nothing below is inferred from photographs.
What that sheet reveals is an unusually complete order. Most heavily optioned cars lean one way: either toward the driving or toward the comfort. This one was specified in both directions at once, with the chassis and performance equipment ticked alongside massaging, ventilated, and heated seats front and rear. That combination is rarer than either extreme, and it suits a vehicle designed from the outset to be two things.
