This 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited delivers the capability people buy a Crosstrek for while adding the power, leather, technology, and premium features that separate the Limited from the more basic versions. Finished in Crystal Black Silica over Black leather with distinctive orange stitching, this Crosstrek has a more upscale personality than you might expect from Subaru's compact adventure crossover. Dark Gray 18-inch alloy wheels complete the look without sacrificing the rugged character that made the Crosstrek so popular in the first place. Under the hood is Subaru's naturally aspirated 2.5-liter BOXER four-cylinder paired with a Lineartronic CVT and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. That 2.5-liter engine is an important distinction. Compared with the smaller 2.0-liter found in lower Crosstrek trims, the Limited's larger engine gives you stronger performance for merging, passing, climbing mountain grades, and carrying passengers and gear. For the Pacific Northwest, the rest of the formula makes even more sense. Subaru Symmetrical AWD provides full-time all-wheel-drive capability for wet roads, snow, gravel, trailheads, and mountain passes, while the Crosstrek's generous ground clearance gives it the freedom to venture farther than the typical compact crossover. Yet it's still compact enough to be easy to park and maneuver around Seattle and the Eastside. And it returns an EPA-estimated 26 MPG city and 33 MPG highway. Inside, the Limited takes a noticeable step up. Leather-trimmed seating with orange stitching, heated front seats, a power driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the power moonroof give the cabin a genuinely premium feel. The centerpiece is Subaru's 11.6-inch STARLINK multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This particular Crosstrek also adds the harman/kardon Surround Sound system, providing a substantial audio upgrade and making the cabin an even better place to spend a long drive. The Mirror Package adds auto-dimming exterior mirrors with approach lighting along with an auto-dimming rearview mirror featuring a compass and HomeLink. Subaru's EyeSight technology brings additional confidence with Pre-Collision Braking, while Blind Spot Detection, automatic high beams, a rearview camera, and STARLINK Safety and Security add useful technology for everyday driving. What makes this Crosstrek particularly appealing is how well it bridges two worlds.
