Additional Information
What does Shelby do
Introducing the 2026 Shelby Super Snake-R - a bold, track-focused evolution of the iconic Super Snake legacy. Built on the Ford Mustang Dark Horse platform, this limited-edition widebody sports car unleashes over 850 horsepower from a supercharged 5.0L V8 engine, paired with either a Tremec TR-3160 manual 6-speed or a 10-speed automatic transmission. Designed for serious performance enthusiasts, the Super Snake R features a fully adjustable coil-over suspension, metal spherical bearings, and a rear harness strut bar that delivers unmatched handling precision. Its aggressive stance is enhanced by metallic widebody fenders, massive tires, and a suite of carbon fiber body components including a large front lower splitter, rear pedestal wing, and lower rear diffuser. Shelby American's engineering team focused obsessively on balanced performance, integrating lightweight magnesium alloy wheels and proprietary carbon fiber elements. The result is a car that's not only blisteringly fast but also remarkably poised and customizable for track conditions. Inside, the Shelby-spec interior includes rear seat delete, serialized plaques, and refined finishes. Every detail reflects Shelby's commitment to performance, heritage, and craftsmanship.
This is the third Shelby vehicle model built on the new S650 Mustang platform and the most aggressive Super Snake ever offered. Starting at $224,995 (including the base 600A Darkhorse Mustang), the Super Snake-R is available through authorized Shelby distributors in the U.S. and select international locations. Each car is documented in the official Shelby Registry and includes a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. Whether you're chasing lap times or making a statement on the street, the 2026 Shelby Super Snake-R is your ticket to track domination and everyday drivability - a true fusion of raw power and refined engineering.
