Easy & Stress-free Stopped in without an appt to look at a new 2500 diesel mega cab truck that I was interested in buying. The online "Promo Price" was what initially ca Stopped in without an appt to look at a new 2500 diesel mega cab truck that I was interested in buying. The online "Promo Price" was what initially caught my attention, as I could see that it was a great price that I wouldn't have to haggle for. When I walked in, I was greeted right away, welcomed to sit inside (with my dogs) while the salesman brought the truck around, then the salesman showed me the truck and we took it out for a test drive. I was considering 2 trucks, both at Lithia dealerships but with different cab configurations (mega vs crew), so the salesman went and got a truck with the crew cab so I could compare them side to side. After maybe 15 minutes of looking them over, I decided to go with the mega. I should say that at this point I'd been truck shopping for almost a year, so I hadn't been in a hurry, this wasn't a spur of the moment decision and I pretty much knew what I wanted. I can't speak to whether or not they would have tried to pressure me more since I was ready to buy anyways, but I can say that the salesman was friendly and I didn't feel at all pressured as I stood there trying to decide. Once I said yes, we took the dogs for a little walk while they got the paperwork started. When we came back, we were handed off to another salesman as our first salesman had an appointment come in. We didn't mind, both salesman were super nice and friendly, and the paperwork went smoothly. I had my own financing pre-approved and they didn't give me any grief about it or try to get me to finance through them. The "Promo Price" was the actual sales price. I can't tell you what a huge relief that was! The only other fees were the standard taxes, doc fee and registration, and they showed me all the numbers, explained everything, let me calculate them myself to make sure, and all this was done with a helpful and laid back attitude. When I got to the finance guy, he did try to sell me 1) extended warranty, 2) protection package, and 3) lifetime service. I wasn't interested in any of them and it was easy to say no, there were no hard sells or bullying or anything else negative. I ended up signing everything that day and picked up the truck the next, and again they worked with me to make that happen and everything start to finish was a positive experience. More
