After researching Subaru vehicles for months, I finally purchased a 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport yesterday. #1 Cochran was the 6th dealership I visited. I was considering purchases at two of the oth purchased a 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport yesterday. #1 Cochran was the 6th dealership I visited. I was considering purchases at two of the other places until I checked out #1 Cochran. From the initial emails and phone calls exchanged through the final handshake, it was nothing short of the best car buying experience I could have imagined. Every person made me feel comfortable, especially salesman Jim Powers. Jim was upfront about everything, put zero pressure on me, and was accommodating. A fresh change of pace from the other dealerships out there. At the end of the day I got a great deal on a quality vehicle. The price was exactly within the range of fair market value, so the negotiation was really not necessary (though they did come down some on the price). Completely worth my drive of an hour and a half. Anyone out there considering the vehicles that they sell at #1 Cochran should definitely make the trip. I imagine the rest of the staff is as friendly and considerate as the people I dealt with, but I'd suggest talking to Jim Powers specifically. He seemed like a genuine guy, which, unfortunately, seems to be the exception and not the rule when it comes to salesmen.
