Hello, Thank you for your detailed feedback on your experience. Our goal is to create a favorable experience for all of our customers, but it seems we fell short. Anytime a vehicle is purchased via on line, we always take additional steps to ensure full transparency. I know you visited with your salesperson multiple times and we even discounted the vehicle as well. Part of our process is to send a complete personalized video of the vehicle and I do show that happened. Anytime we sell a vehicle 10+ years or old with over 100k miles on it, they are always AS-IS. We never make any attempt to hide anything on the vehicle, as we believe in full transparency when doing business. Unfortunately, things may need further repair, but per the video, pictures sent and pictures posted we did not see any lights on other than the tire pressure light. Before the completion of the paperwork, the AS-IS paperwork is always included along with a "We-OWE" to ensure full transparency. Again, I am sorry you are dealing with issues after the sale and this is why we always take the additional steps before offering and selling vehicles with over 100k miles. Pretty much what I expected as a response. I already acknowledged the "as is" nature of the sale. First, there was no discount from the time I called regarding the vehicle. It was listed at approx $10.5K and that's what I paid. Amazing that so many things could go wrong with 12 hours of being purchased/ picked up. No one with any intelligence is going to believe that they all happened after having "professional" techs go over the car. The smell that Tomas first told me about was NOT from something spilled or left in the car. It was the defective 12-volt battery. I do not believe any qualified tech would have checked the vehicle and not found something so basic and dangerous as a defective battery which was overheating. Yes, Tomas shared about the "odor" and that the battery might need to be charged or replaced. It was NEVER mentioned that it was defective. By the way, the defective battery is (per Toyota in Muskogee) the cause of the "check hybrid system" issue. They are in disbelief that the battery issue wasn't recognized. I shared I was told it may need to be charged or potentially replaced. Tomas had informed me of a possible battery issue but only that the car had been sitting and the battery charged down. The severity the battery issues would have been recognizable to any technician checking it. True, it was an "as is" sale. My mistake was believing that the people I was dealing had both personal and professional integrity. If these issues had occurred weeks or months later, I would definitely agree with what you shared. Occurring literally the day after taking it off the lot? That says more about the business integrity of 6th Avenue Honda, its leadership, sales and service than anything else I can say.
