Brought our Suburban in to have the transmission looked at and was told it would be $17,000 to replace it. After repeated attempts to try and understand why it would be so much, knowing it was wrong, the r at and was told it would be $17,000 to replace it. After repeated attempts to try and understand why it would be so much, knowing it was wrong, the rep was steadfast that her number was correct. Called multiple other dealerships and shops and was quoted more than $10,000 less than your number. After the weekend, the rep finally realized her mistake of trying to charge double for parts. However, your number was still $3-4k more than anyone else. When comparing prices of the part numbers provided, you are trying to change $2,500-$3,000 more for the remanufactured transmission than anyone else. The rep also admitted to “always rounding up” the set labor rate of $175ish to $200. On a 13 hour minimum job, that’s a decent up charge. Needless to say after having used A&T in the past for service, I will never return and will be warning others of my experience. More
