Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Drove 3.5 hours from Nashville to show up to this pathetic dealership to see a Ford Edge SEL that I thought was going to be in LUXURY condition, at le Drove 3.5 hours from Nashville to show up to this pathetic dealership to see a Ford Edge SEL that I thought was going to be in LUXURY condition, at least the professional photos (that weren't really the car I went to see) lead me to believe that...much to my surprise, the vehicle was the exact opposite of the word luxury. This Edge (which is still currently for sale at the dealership) was in very poor condition for only having around 18k miles...there were several scratches, both repairable/buffable and many that had to be touched up....there was overspray on a lot of the vehicle...passenger door didn't shut correctly and there appeared to be some kind of cover up around the door handle, like there was damage of some sort, the front moulding was severely cracked as if someone ran into a wall, the rear bumper moulding looked as though a dog chewed through it...chunks were missing out of the chrome wheels....much more...much more folks. I had asked my salesman, Felix, to check the condition for me before the trip was made, and was told it was in excellent condition and even smelled great inside. I offered to put a deposit to hold it, but he said he would hold it cuz there wasn't much business...which he did hold it. You would think that the salesman would have the car detailed/cleaned, especially if he knew we were serious buyers...we even negotiated a trade amount before I made the trip...but no. The car was very dirty, had white stuff all over the place, door jams...just everywhere....then Felix, before we even saw the car apologized for not cleaning it...said the cleaning crew didn't show up that day. Poor excuses. So...based on overall poor condition of the vehicle, there was no chance of a sale...Felix knew it as we were calling out all of the items wrong with it...he seemed embarrassed/ashamed...as he should have...but...they still did an evaluation of my vehicle...in which the finance guy did the appraisal....never once made eye contact with me...and as I saw him drive off on his test ride, it was if he were given free admission to a NASCAR race...he gunned my vehicle with all the pedal there was...needless to say, that infuriated me too. So...we are ready to leave back to nashville...and Felix comes out and informs me that they were willing to give me exactly what I wanted for my trade...and of course, he knew, but I told him again, NO DEAL. That car was going to need at least 2500-3500 in work to get it back to normal. So, we get in my car, I put it in reverse, and Felix knocks on my door and says, "if we give you another thousand for your trade, would you do the deal?" Keep in mind folks, I DIDNT EVEN DRIVE THE CAR I WENT THERE TO SEE. It's sad that a dealership would try to pull of these types of shenanigans in this day and time...I hope the better business bureau knows of Marietta Luxury Motors poor unethical standards of sales. DON'T DO IT!!!! I wish I could give zero stars to this JOKE of a dealership. I initially worked with Christian Martinez who was mediocre at best and needs to work on I wish I could give zero stars to this JOKE of a dealership. I initially worked with Christian Martinez who was mediocre at best and needs to work on his knowledge, communication, and follow-up skills if he plans to continue in this area. Not only did it take a full day to locate the car that I saw for sale online (employee had been driving it and let his kid spill snacks all over the back seat and put mud prints on the back of the passenger seat - apparently he'd had the car for a while as there were over 1000 miles added to the initial mileage report online...who does that?!), I would often have to check in with him for answers to questions that HE told me he would call me back on. Then enters "Finance Manager Kelepha Njie"....THE ABSOLUTE WORST, THE HOTTEST OF HOT MESSES AND AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! He spoke a slick game initially but his lies quickly caught up to him. He lied to me about my credit being run (I paid cash for my car), gave me a bill of sale stating I still owed money on the car, and was SO unprofessional when I emailed and called him (several times over three days) for clarification on these issues. After three days, it was only when I CC'ed the owner on an email that he responded...spouting more lies! The only good thing about my experience was 1. I got a car that I like and believe will last a long time and 2. Marco came in and efficiently cleaned up the mess that Kelepha made and refused to address after the fact. Being new to the car-buying process, there were many things that I did not know (like the dealership still has to run your credit though you are paying in cash) and Mr. Njie refused to answer, during the transaction and after the fact. The sad thing is that, being a rather reasonable person, all of my anger and frustration dissipated IMMEDIATELY after Marco called me and thoroughly explained ALL of the things that Mr. Njie MISSED and refused to RESPOND TO!! BTW, Kelepha also shopped my credit to THREE creditors?! This was AFTER he told me ONLY Capital One would be an option IF I did not return with a check the following day, leading to a situation where my credit had to be run. What happened with starting with one?! He did this KNOWING I would return the next day with a check for the full amount (which I did ) AND after I'd given him $3k down!! SMH!!! Unfortunately, it took almost a week to get anyone on the phone and each day my anger built! The crazy part is that emails were sent from the owner to Kelepha to address my issue AND HE STILL NEVER CALLED OR EMAILED ME BACK!!!! How someone can employ someone like that is beyond my wildest imagination! Anyone so disrespectful and unprofessional towards his BOSS AND CUSTOMERS should be fired IMMEDIATELY!!! I saw the comments prior to going to this dealership but my sister mistakenly said she'd bought her car from this location and had a good experience...that was the ONLY thing that made set foot on their property. However, she later remembered it was their Gwinnett location where she'd bought her car. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider these comments before going to MLM. I'm sure these folks are not making up these stories and I KNOW my experience was real (you can't make this stuff up)!! There are SOOOO many dealerships in this area and the NATION and I STRONGLY suggest you save yourself the time and frustration of having to deal with these INCOMPETENT IDIOTS. I know this review is quite negative but trust me it would have been MUCH worse if I had not deal with Marco...the only positive person I dealt with! MLM DO BETTER OR DO THE PUBLIC A FAVOR AND CLOSE DOWN!!!!!!! YOU ALL ARE DISGUSTING!!! BTW, the email address that I forwarded my emails to, that got me a response was finance@mariettaluxurymotors. com. Apparently the owner monitors that account. The finical manager was great at getting us a better interest rate and making our payments lower. Felix went above and beyond to make sure that the car was everything we wanted including setting up an independent assessment from a nearby Nissan dealer. He worked extremely hard to earn our trust and business. We run from pushy dealers so it was refreshing to work with a dealership that did not hover over us every second. Hugh was also a pleasure to work with. He knew our budget limits and worked to get as close as possible to that limit. He also worked to ensure the lowest finance charges possible. The pit boss, sorry I did not get his name, gave us a fair price for our trade-in and genuinely wanted us to be satisfied customers. I typically HATE dealing with car dealers; however, I will go back to Marietta Luxury Motors and I recommend them to others. My son was extremely happy when he saw his new used car!
