Put me on the road in a potentially unsafe car So I visited this dealership because I had a notification it was time for me to get an oil change. I scheduled an oil change and at this location and So I visited this dealership because I had a notification it was time for me to get an oil change. I scheduled an oil change and at this location and I was notified that I actually needed an oil change, tire rotation, and some type of transmission service. Since the price was creeping up to about $600 I decided to opt out of the tire rotation the service, which brought my total down to just under $500. Once everything else was completed and my car was returned to me but once I got on the road and drove for less than 5 minutes I started to get a lot of alerts on the dashboard that my braking system wasn't working, my power steering system wasn't working, and a lot of different messages . I turned around went back to the dealership where they attempted to remedy the situatio. They have my car for about an hour and a half and then test drove it and returned it to me. The mechanic was asked if everything was fine he said yes everything was cleared and everything checked out. I get back on the road and within 5 minutes the same exact warning systems are activated and again I turned around and went back to the dealershi. So at this point they put me in a loaner car and tell me that they would contact me when they figured out what the problem was. The next day I was notified that the car was fixed and the reason for the warning alerts were going off was because apparently when I had one tire that was repaired from Firestone back in December and that one tire was not the same as the other tires so when they in fact rotated my tires this set off some reaction for the system to alert me that something funky was going on with my tires. My issue with this is that they didn't realize that it was my tire until the following day. Without knowing this information they willingly put me back into my car to send me home in a potentially unsafe vehicle. When I got in my car the second time after the mechanic said he cleared everything and everything was fine I know for a fact he was lyng because in both instances when I drove my car in less than 5 minutes those warning signs came up. The mechanic got in my car, drove my car, most likely experienced the same warning signs, cleared them, and then returned my car to me. I get it that it wasn't in fact a big deal but what if it was, they didn't know what was going on until the next day. I will never go back to this dealership. I would not recommend anyone servicing the car there . When it was all said and done with, for my troubles, they gave me a couple of chocolates. More
