Very disappointed . .. Let me first say that I understand the world we are living in today but I took my truck in for what seemed to be an electrical problem as it wo .. Let me first say that I understand the world we are living in today but I took my truck in for what seemed to be an electrical problem as it would start fine (no issues) but nothing else would work (windows, A/C, Heat, mirrors, etc). I was getting seat belt warnings, low tire pressure warnings, etc as well. My truck has an extended warranty but I didnt have an appointment - so no loaner - but my truck was not drivable I was told it would be 2 weeks before it could be diagnosed and it was probably a rodent issue based on symptoms. So 3 weeks go by & I get a call that it is just the battery ... So I have been without my truck for 3 weeks & it was just the battery? Really? I have purchased 3 trucks there in the last 8 years & had all of the service on them performed at Akins ... So when they charged me $145 diagnostic fee of the $380 to replace the battery was when it just became apparent things are different now at Akins ... If I had known or had an inkling it might be the battery I would have taken my truck somewhere else just so I wouldn't haven been without my truck for 3 weeks ... More

Can never say enough about Aiken service! Now with Mobile service. Thomas came out with a part to fix the trunk and low and behold he fixed it eight in my garage without replacing it!!!! They have been great with the Service Department on my visits there. They say 2 hours wait time but is always less. I have always respected Akins and I have purchased 3 cars there over the years. The ladies who answer the phone are very courteous, however my recent experience with their service dept has not been ideal. there over the years. I was told he would keep me updated, but that did not happen. I have had to call numerous times to get updates, and he never contacted me to tell my truck was ready. I found that out on my own. I am disappointed in the service I received. EVERYTIME I tried to call him, I got his voice mail. I questioned in my mind, does he really work there!! More
