By far the best service in the area. I had to bring in my Scion for emergency service late in the day, just before closing. It was a critical situation as the driver's seat adjustment lever snapped making my Scion for emergency service late in the day, just before closing. Mr. Paul Sonnhalter, noted the danger of driving the car home in that state, and although it was near the end of the day, Mr. Sonnhalater ensured I received immediate service. I was astounded at the level of quality and professionalism provided by Mr. Sonnhalter and the staff at Scion Dealership. We came in for an oil change and airbag check light and picked the car up two days later and the airbag part did not come in and the oil change was not done. We were leaving for Florida on Wednesday and h picked the car up two days later and the airbag part did not come in and the oil change was not done. We were leaving for Florida on Wednesday and had to stop along the way to get the oil changed. not sure why they could not perform that service when I specifically asked the service advisor if the oil would be done before the airbag part came in and he said yes. if we need service in the future when we visit our daughter in the area we will find another dealership. Sonnhalter, Platinum Service Team Leader, the Platinum Service Team, and all the others at the dealership who assisted in resolving a mechanical issue that our Toyota Solara, which we love, had developed. After we contacted Toyota's national headquarters to report the problem they assigned the case to Paul J. Sonnhalter at Jack Taylor's. The problem was fixed at no cost to us. The resolution was apparently complex, but Paul kept us informed every step of the way, and we were provided with a loaner at no cost. Our Solara was returned to us completely cleaned, washed, waxed and polished, a further display of quality customer service and attention to detail. The manner in which Toyota, the dealership and particularly Paul J. Sonnhalter handled this was truly professional and deserves the highest compliments. We should also add that our Solara has been serviced at Jack Taylor's Toyota as long as we have owned it, and we have always had a positive experience. We would recommend Jack Taylor's Toyota unconditionally to anyone. Our only concern is that Toyota has discontinued the Solara. We really love our Solara coupe. For us it is a perfect combination of sporty and roomy, and we hope that by the time we are ready for a new car, Toyota will have brought back the Solara, or a similar vehicle. After a bad experience with a service department, I have found someone who is very straight forward and does what needs to be done without "addons." As long as Paul is there you have a customer. John Mcmillan took excellent care of the sale--He was easy to talk with and did not try to give me any high presure sale talk--He listened to what I was saying and heard my concerns. We have been using Alexandria Toyota to service our Land Cruiser since we purchased it. I have never been happy with the lack of responsiveness from the service advisors, but my wife liked that they were c Cruiser since we purchased it. I have never been happy with the lack of responsiveness from the service advisors, but my wife liked that they were close. The battery died, so my wife used the dealership's online service advisor to find out when it was last replaced. She was told that they would e-mail that to her and an advisor would call her - neither happened. I took the dead battery out, and took it to the dealership, just to find out that it was replaced in April, not so hard took the person less than a minute to look-up. I asked for a replacement and was told that they could not do that and that I had to get a tow so that they could check out the vehicle. I asked if I paid for it and that it ended up being an issue with the battery could I get a refund, nope. A tow will cost quite a bit more than a new battery, so if I am going to have it towed, I will use a local repair shop where I get another vehicle serviced and have been quite happy with. A message to the manager has so far gone unreturned, it is unlikely that we will ever do business with this dealership again. More
I want to share with you the wonderful experience I had at your facility, the Alexandria Toyota dealership, while visiting Arlington from my home in Carrboro, North Carolina. On August 27, 2022, I was in d at your facility, the Alexandria Toyota dealership, while visiting Arlington from my home in Carrboro, North Carolina. On August 27, 2022, I was in desperate need of help for my Toyota Avalon. I drove in to your service department, which was large, open, clean, and with all the team-leaders right there taking care of the customers AND the cars. It was like in the “good old days” when you actually talked to the person who was going to take care of your car and you could leave it there with confidence that it was in perfect hands. Please do not change that close connection between the customers and the service personnel. I was greeted promptly by someone who immediately paged Paul Sonnhalter who made me the appointment the evening before. Paul is the perfect service representative. He listened to me, he cared about my worries regarding the car, he reassured me he would take care of the problem, and he took action right away. Thirty minutes later he explained what had happened, taught me how to avoid the problem in the future, and wished me and my sister a safe trip back home. Before he gave us the car back he had made sure it had run through the “washer”. What a caring surprise! Please do not ever let Paul leave. Sincerely, Carola Ekelund More
