I purchased a used Toyota Sequoia and made it very clear that I must know all of the details of what could be wrong with the car before I made a 3.5 hour drive to come look at it. When I got there the fron that I must know all of the details of what could be wrong with the car before I made a 3.5 hour drive to come look at it. When I got there the front bumper was tore up and needed to be replaced. There was no way that the sales person did not see this and knowingly withheld telling me in hopes that I get there and they could sell me on it since I drove 3.5 hours to get there. Then I test drove the car and was lied to by the sales manager about who owned the vehicle prior to Gary Matthews taking possession of it. I over looked these two dishonest items based on I felt the car was in good condition plus the car had a clean CarFax. I later found out that a CarFax really means nothing as the car had been wrecked and painted. My inexperience of knowing about paint and how to "truly" look at a used car is why I bought the car. Knowing what I know now I never would have bought it. Live and learn, however as far as the Gary Matthews people in my book they are nothing, but a bunch of crooks. I later contacted the manager and explained to him what I found out about the vehicle being wrecked and he could care less. Guess I'm stuck with the car now... in my gut I thought about jumping in my car and just driving back. My big mistake... always trust your gut. I would recommend everyone stay as far away from these people as possible. If they will lie to me then they will lie to you and you'll never know what your going to get. I have tried to trade the car and sell it and I can't get half what I paid for it. Live and learn! More
By far the worse buying experience I have ever had. I picked out the car I wanted at 5:00pm I did not leave the dealership till 8:00pm. On top of that I was called 3 days later to find out I had to resig picked out the car I wanted at 5:00pm I did not leave the dealership till 8:00pm. On top of that I was called 3 days later to find out I had to resign the papers! And guess my payments got longer and HIGHER. I did not notice till later that they also raised the price of the car. Purchased a new '11 Hyundai Sonata after looking at many similar makes. The entire staff from sales to financing and now with service have been a pleasure to deal with. This car was the second vehicle that we have purchased from this dealership in two years (previous was a GMC Sierra) As fellow business owners we always strive to make our purchases locally and support other local businesses. The friendly staff at Gary Mathews has made it an easy decision for us on where to shop for vehicles aw well as get them serviced. We looked at two different year models on the Sonata and after test driving both were still up in the air due to the large difference in price. We ended up getting the newer vehicle thanks to a great offer presented to us by the dealership and couldn't be happier with the car! More

We live an hour away from the dealership, so we were grateful for their "up front" no hassle approach. We bought our vehicles here because we didn't really have to bargain with them like we did at numerous other dealerships. The price was already lower than we'd expected. All around, this dealership is very easy to deal with, I'd recommend it to anyone. More

From the time we arrived on the car lot, Clyde asked us what we were looking for which at first was a used vehicle. I have been in this dealership on 3 different occasions to purchase a car, each time I have had salesmen turn their noses up at me, and I have walked out. The first time I went with my 3 children in the su to purchase a car, each time I have had salesmen turn their noses up at me, and I have walked out. The first time I went with my 3 children in the summer to get a new van, mine was wore out, and I was treated like xxxx and passed from salesman to salesman till I drove away and went and bought a car from CarMax later that day. The second time I went with my mother to look at cars, and the salesman tried to sell her a piece of junk truck that had WAY more miles then the odometer was showing. (You don't get a smooth worn pedal with only 36,000 miles, and the #s on the odometer were all crooked) The 3rd time, they would not even talk to me with out my husband there, even though I was looking for a car not him, and my credit and income was more then enough to get a loan.....went down the road and got a car. THREE STRIKES, YOUR OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again will I deal with this dealership. I would rather walk then buy a car from here! More
