I went here to buy a certified preowned Volvo. Sam was nice in a Barney Fife way. As it turns out, his sales approaches were just as Barney Fife. I caught him in at least three lies while negotiating, the most egregious being that the car he took two days to show me wasn't actually certified. It was printed all over their website even after I left. Yet he tried to charge me $1000 for the certification. When I called him on his lie he half admitted to it. His solution was to say in a defensive manner, "What do you want from me?" That aside, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I allowed him to make it up to me the next business day. I went back in to give Sam a chance to do the right thing. At this time he told me the car I wanted had an unidentified transmission problem. He offered me a car that was $5,000 more as an alternative. He also pushed me to finance even though I clearly told him when we settled on the price of the car I actually wanted that I was paying cash. I, again, told him my intentions but they did not sink in. He continued to insist that the first car I wanted may not work out for me and he continued to offer alternative that were much more expensive. I get that he wants to try to upsell me but there is a time and a place. I wouldn't expect a dealership that sells higher end vehicles to resort to such hackey salesmanship. In the end I did not buy the car (for obvious reasons) but did notice the car advertised as certified long after I decided to walk away. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism. This dealership cannot be trusted and I wouldn't even go in there to use the bathroom. More
I brought my 05 S60R to this dealership for the simple fact that they told me I had a 100,000 mile warranty that had transferred from the original owner. Under the impression that I would get the necessar fact that they told me I had a 100,000 mile warranty that had transferred from the original owner. Under the impression that I would get the necessary work done technically for free, I told them to fix everything that would be covered by the warranty. They did. Then they realized on a second check AFTER all the work was done that I in fact did NOT have the warranty and informed me they would be charging me over $1,600 for the repairs. My only other option to avoid the cost was to have them remove all the parts which I had them do. After all was said and done they still charged me $300 for the diagnostic costs (which takes seconds) and I received the same broken car I had dropped off a week prior. Tim, the service manager whom okay'd the order on the parts as well as the service and his manager Jason Stockwell were the most unhelpful and stingy individuals I have ever come across in my life, literally. Other than those xxxxxxxx the service technicians were professional and did good work. I'm not going to say don't take your car here but just beware of the cocksucking service head staff they have.
